Game was simmed
QB Tyler Martinez ran wild over the Huskies, totaling over 350 total yards and 3 total tds. The Blackshirts forced 1 turnover and held the Huskies to only 206 total yards from scrimmage. The defense was led by Baker Steinkuhler who had 7 tackles and a sack. Week 4 is another bye week and the Huskers open Big 12 play in week 5.
Dang, Martinez is a beast. And only a sophomore for you eh?
Thanks for dealing with sim... obviously not intended. Good win though
Wait, Nebraska beat USC that bad in a sim? Wow
My boys don't mess around.
haha apparently not man. Those corn-fed men knocked out some west coast boys

One of the strangest games ever. Iowa State comes out, running the annoying hurry-up, and scores 2 quick touchdowns to take a 14-0 lead. The Blackshirts adjusted their gameplan and basically sat back in coverage and shut down the Cyclones after that. The Cornhusker offense took awhile to get going in this one, as the Iowa State defense played more like the Pittsburgh Steelers than a college football also ran. The Huskers stayed true to their gameplan and pounded the rock 44 times, more than twice as much as they passed. As a team, they accumulated over 200 yards on the ground. Second string HB Dontray Robinson led the way, with 2 tds and 96 yards on only 6 carries. Robinson is the primary short yardage back and broke a 69 yard score on a 3rd and 1. Tyler Martinez did not play that well, but did score once on the ground and did rack up over 200 total yards. Next up is rival Missouri, who will again run the annoying hurry-up.
that's interesting...ISU actually pulled an upset on Texas this in RL
The Blackshirts did a great job of shutting down the one-dimensional Tiger attack. Operating against 5 wide most of the time, the Cornhuskers were able to sit back in coverage while the d-line could pin its ears back and get after the QB. QB Tyler Martinez had a solid game, passing for 2 tds and rushing for 80 yards. The Husker ground game was pretty ineffective, averaging about 3 ypc.
For some reason, I have the most trouble playing against 5-wide, hurry-up offense when playing the CPU. They become really hard to stop.
EVen with the QB acc down a bit, they are still tough.. it really comes down to defensive play callign and user swats and ints
swats are by far the most underused ability in NCAA
Oklahoma State 13
The Huskers ground game finally woke up, going for over 150 and controlling the game. Tyler Martinez played well again, but did have some trouble in the pass game, missing a few wide open receivers. The Blackshirts defense played well, pressuring QB Brandon Weeden, getting double digit hurries on him and forcing a pick 6 in the third quarter. Next up is a game against Texas AM.
Bro, Murray has a tendency to air mail some throws too.
Yeah, the user QB acc is pretty low. Its good though, keeps the completion percentage a little more realistic.
Nice win... grind it out
yeah i agree...
the only thing that frustrates me is when my feet are set and dude is wide open on a slant or something and is way off target.
Kansas State 13
The Blackshirts dominated this game, allowing only a late garbage-time touchdown. Tyler Martinez was knocked out of the game, but not before running for 84 yards and a TD and throwing for over 150. Rex Burkhead ran for 74 and Dontray Robinson added the other Husker touchdown.
I think we are going through the same issues... grinding out the running game... mixed results passing.
The Blackshirts defense showed up in this one, shutting down the Buffalo attack and scoring on a pick 6 by CB Alonzo Dennard. Tyler Martinez played well, throwing a TD, passing for 238 yards and rushing for 73. HB Rex Burkhead scored twice on the ground and ran for 85 yards. Next up is a final game against Wake Forest.
Good win man,
I was hoping to see the outcome if Nole was playing, but he never showed.
