2011 Ole Miss Preview 2011 OLE MISS SEASON PREVIEW Expectations The Ole Miss Rebels have a preseason rank of #6 in the nation. The Rebels look to battle their way into a bid in a major bowl and make a run at the BCS National Championship. Coaches, players, alumni and fans are all excited to get the season started and have high expections for this 2011 Ole Miss squad. They will be look to win their 4th National Title, first since 1962 and their 7th SEC title. Ole Miss looks forward to producing more excellent talent at the NFL level to join the likes of other Ole Miss Alumni such as Patrick Willis, Eli Manning and Michael Oher. OFFENSE The Ole Miss offense will be lead by JR QB Nathan Stanley. Stanley finished the 2010 campaign with a QB rating of 141.9, 2654 yards passing, and 21 passing TDs. Ole Miss opponets will get a steady dose of a tough running game lead by SR RB Enrique Davis. Davis had 394 yds and 4 TDs on the ground as the backup RB in 2010. Junior WR Pat Patterson will lead the Rebel air attack. In 2010 he had 32 REC for 448 YDS and 3 TDs as the 2nd WR. DEFENSE The Rebel defense will look to dominate their opposition in 2011 while being led by their 2 All-American Starters FS: Griffin Littlefield and LE Wayne Dorsey Jr. Both players in their junior season will look to stiffle opposing offenses using their speed and ability to create turnovers. Recruiting The Rebels have no real positional needs this season so they will look to shore up a variety of positions such as their O-Line, Secondary and Receiving core.
