Not Even Joseph Smith Can Stop Quizz

Will 2011 be the year of Quizz?

2011 has started off right where 2010 left Beaver fans. Another big win carried by a stout defense and an unstoppable running game, has Beaver fans already talking about January.

For a season opener, this game had everything OSU was looking for. A strong defensive performance, domination in the ground game, and a little time in the 4th quarter for the back-ups. Not to mention a strong start for OSU's Heisman hopeful.....

    Beavers Defense Wins this One

With the offense having a hard time converting on 3rd down, the Beaver Defense plays like a champion again.

After the Oregon State football team didn't even show up for their USC game, Coach Gunner decided it was time to go back to the basics. The "Double D's" as he calls it: Defense and Determination.

The defense showed up in a big way. Holding the potent Cardinal passing attack to just one touchdown, while getting a game winning interception with 50 seconds left in the 4th quarter. Determination was showed by the offense. After blazing down the field on their first possession, OSU's offense had to grind out every yard and first down. Ryan Katz found 10 different receivers during the game, showing a team effort to get the ball down the field.
