    Season Preview

This season promises to be another great battle to the finish line for our 4 SEC user-controlled teams.

    User Games

    Week 4: Florida @ Auburn
The rematch of the 2010 SEC Championship game won't have to wait long to take place, as the Gators will travel to Jordan-Hare Stadium to take on Auburn. You may remember that the two coaches had some words exchanged on the field after the game last year, and that the taste of defeat will still be fresh in the mouths of Auburn fans. Don't let Florida fool you, as they won't have forgotten how sweet it was to win the SEC Championship game last season.

In this year's game, Auburn is fortunate to have Senior CB Neiko Thorpe back to try to slow down the Florida offense. The bad thing for Auburn is that the offense that thrashed them up and down the field is back, led by Brantley, Rainey, Demps, Deonte Thompson, and more. This game will require Auburn to move the ball better than last year in Atlanta to be in contention, but we don't think they will. Florida will win this one with ease, 35 to 14, putting redemption for Auburn on hold for at least a few more months.

    Week 5: Alabama @ Florida
A week after travelling to Auburn, Florida will return home to face off with Alabama. Last season, Florida dominated 'Bama en route to a shutout road win. This started a downward spiral in T-Town, and this year it could mean more of the same for a Crimson Tide team that didn't come close to slowing the Gators offense down.

With much of the same Florida offense returning, this game doesn’t bode well for ‘Bama and their young Quarterback AJ McCarron on the road in The Swamp. They still have an insane arsenal of weapons on both sides of the ball, but the experience of Florida will be too much to overcome. It will be closer than last season, but Florida will still emerge victorious in a 42-24 win.

    Week 8: Georgia @ Florida
In what Coach Psycho has dubbed the “Annual Weiner Roast”, the only roasting going on will be Bulldogs instead of Hotdogs. A theme that everyone may be noticing is the depth of talent that Florida returns this season. What does that mean for Georgia? Well, after losing their 1,600 yard rusher to the NFL, it means that they will have to look to young Aaron Murray (QB) and SR(RS) Caleb King to carry the offense that still has some threats. On defense, Florida’s attack will present infinite matchup problems again this season.

One thing that we have learned throughout our years covering Coach Psycho at his coaching stops, from Colorado to Iowa State to Arizona State and now to Georgia, is that you can never count him out of a game. There are enough weapons remaining on his Georgia team this season for him to pull the upset. While we won’t be shocked if they do, it looks to us like another mark in the ‘W’ column for Florida in this game as they win a close one in what should be the best SEC game of the season, 24-20.

    Week 9: Auburn @ Georgia
Well well well, this one has the makings of the better SEC games this season. Last season, Georgia appeared to have “The South’s Oldest Rivalry” in hand but found a way to squander the lead late in the game as Auburn was the beneficiary of some blown defensive plays that allowed them to get back into a game that they shouldn’t have. This year, as the rivalry returns to Georgia, the Bulldogs will be out for blood, especially coming a week after a likely loss to Florida.

As we mentioned earlier, Georgia has some new faces that will contribute, and by this point in the season, Coach Psycho will most likely have figured out how he will utilize each of them. This will present some serious issues for Auburn who really are not very good defensively. They do have a solid option at cornerback in Neiko Thorpe, but they lost Senior MLB Josh Bynes to the NFL in their most significant offseason graduation. The jury is out on the Auburn defense this season, and though they allowed the fewest points in the SEC last year, it will be extremely difficult to replicate that success. That will be evident in this one as Georgia will overcome a close game early to pull away and win this one going away, 31-14 at home.

    Week 12: Alabama @ Auburn
Last season’s Iron Bowl showcased Auburn and Alabama at opposite ends of the spectrum, and the opposite of every preseason prediction. The Tigers entered last season’s game 10-1 and unbeaten in the conference, while Alabama was unranked and in the midst of a very mediocre season. Auburn jumped all over the Tide early and rode that all game for the win. This season, Alabama may even be better talent-wise than they were last year, which is difficult to imagine. The most important 1-on-1 matchup of this game will be Alabama WR Julio Jones against Auburn CB Neiko Thorpe. If Thorpe can do anything to slow the outstanding Jones, Auburn could see some big success again. It will also be another hostile road game for young QB AJ McCarron of the Tide.

As is the theme of our SEC user games this season, Alabama will be hungry to avenge their embarrassing defeat from a season ago. What it will then come down to is execution and depth of talent. In his second season manning the helm in Alabama, Coach Masler is expected to be able to harness his talent better, and we suspect that he will. This game will be one for the ages, and whoever has the ball last will win. We’ll say that Auburn has the ball last and kicks a field goal as time expires to take the Iron Bowl for two seasons running in a 43-40 win.

Thanks Dru. Florida is my pick to win the National Championship this season. They're hungry, and they're loaded with talent. We'll all try to get in their way, but I don't think it will end too well for anyone, ESPECIALLY Auburn! ;)

    SCREW TENNESSEE!!! hahaha

I'm not sure how I feel about all the pressure being hyped onto the Gators. That's quite the schedule we've gotta mow through too, 3 user games in 4 weeks, plus FSU and an SEC championship game if we get there. It'll be a tough season that's for sure. I can see Coach Psycho and the Bulldogs already sitting there waiting for us to slip up.

    And very well done Basis.

FSU isn't on your schedule. I'm pretty sure that all users have 3 user games and your 3 are all conference games.
