    Florida St 7

USC headed to Seminole nation on Week 1 of the season for an early conference challenge showdown. The defense came to play and would be the story of the game. The defense held FSU to 197 yards of total offense while the Offense put up over 400 despite a few mistakes by QB Matt Barkley. Huge win on the road for the Trojans as they head back to the Grand Ole Lady this week to host the pesky Miami Canes.

"The game started out slow with the Rival teams both hitting FGs early to make it 3-3. That's when HB Baxter got going. He had a great drive that capped out with an 8 yard TD run. Baxter followed up from his huge performance last week with another 100 + yard game and a TD. Other highlights in the uncompetitive game were QB Matt Barkley running for a 30 YD TD. USC dominated throughout the rest of the game with the defense getting a Pick 6 to really blow out the game. A huge win that is sure to impress the visiting USC recruits."

    Week 4 USC 26 Stanford 20

"USC traveled to Stanford for the annual Pac-10 matchup for what would be an intense battle all game long. HB Dillion Baxter got off to a quick start with a nice 32 yard TD run and was a threat all day rushing for 143 yards on 25 carries and scoring a TD. QB Barkley had a very shaky start making dumbplays and throwing 3 INTs, one on a 2 pt conversion that was takin back for 2 points. He played better at the end and helped USC get the tight win over the cardinals. QB Luck of Stanford was unstoppable almost all game but the defense got the big plays when they needed them most late in the game. USC heads back home next week to host the Arizona St Sun devils."

"USC got the offense ROLLING in this one with near perfect play from QB Matt Barkley who went 13/15, for 217 yards and 2 TDs. His passer rating was well over 200. HB Baxter also had another big game going for 140 yards and 2 TDs. The defense added a pick 6 late in the game to seal up the deal. The starters were sent to the bench at the end of the 3rd QTR. USC moves to 5-0 and holds on to their number 1 ranking.

Hova after the game: "The offense is rolling right now, I am happy to see Barkley put up numbers out there after his early struggles. The defense is stout as always... If the offense can keep up this level of play who knows what the future may bring us."

    Week 6 USC 31 Oregon St 13

"USC got off to another slow start, this time facing the pesky Oregon St beavers. The first half saw pretty bad football as the Trojans went into halftime down by 3. Disaster then struck at the beginning of the 3rd when QB Matt Barkley went down for 7 Weeks with a Torn Shoulder. Backup QB Kan would have to see his first action of the season, and USC needed to comeback. Help delivered when HB Baxter took an 80 yard run to the house for 6 as seen in the highlight reel. The Beavers answered right back however with a quick shot that decimated the Trojan secondary. The bad luck continued as HB Baxter then went down with a game ending injury. QB Kan took the opportunity to shine and led a great drive that would take the lead. He played solid ball all day and showed that he was ready to step in and lead this team. The defense finally stood up and got some stops and USC sealed the win. USC heads to a much needed by next week. Coach Hova is hoping that Matt Barkley can return by Week 13 for the HUGE matchup with #2 ranked Oregon. He said Kan will be ready however if Matt is not. The next opponent would be in 2 weeks at Washington St. USC should handle them easily."

"USC dominates this one from start to finish. The lowly cats were just no match for the high powered USC offense. Back up QB Kan showed great leadership going 10/11 and throwing 2 TDs plus running for 1. Freshman HB Dillon Baxter had 182 yards and 2 TDs as well in the 46-6 rout of Washington St. USC takes on Cal next week."

    Week 11 USC 21 Washington 14

    #1 USC 21
    #23 Washington 14

"USC continued there battle for the pac-10 today by knocking off #23 ranked Washington at home. Backup QB Kan once again proved his worth by the leading the team to yet another victory. He had an impressive day throwing for 274 yards and 2 TDs earning player of the game rights. HB Baxter also had another big day going for 114 yards and 1 TD. Baxter has now rushed for 1200 yards and 16 TDs on the season. He did have one bad play where he fumbled and the defense picked it up for 6 but USC was still able to hold on. USC heads to Arizona next week for a Pac-10 matchup with the Wildcats."

    Week 12 USC 28 Arizona 21

    #1 USC 28
    Arizona 21

"USC headed to Arizona this week and got the W but it was not pretty. Early the game looked to be a route with USC up 28-0. Things changed when the offense decided to become worthless and stop from scoring the rest of the game. The defense slowly let the cats climb back in the game but the Trojans eventually held them off thanks to solid running by Baxter late who went for 119 yards. USC hopes to get Matt Barkley back next week to give a spark to the lethargic offense."

"USC headed to the rose bowl for the final game of the season for the Battle of the Victory Bell and a chance to win the Pac-10 Title and head to a National Championship. The game was very similar to last weeks battle with the Ducks in that the defense played like shit and we were in a shootout most of the game. HB Baxter was solid all game as expected going over 100 yards and scoring 3 TDs, bringing his season total to 21. QB Matt Barkley was even more impressive going 20 for 26 and throwing no INTS. His play is what got us to the National Title Game. The Pac-10 crown is ours and It looks like we will face Cincy for the Crystal Ball. Let's go Trojans!!"

BCS National Championship - USC 62 Cincy 17

"This game actually started out pretty scary for the Trojans as the Cincy offense was basically unstoppable. They kept running draws every play and I could do nothing about it. The HB has 163 YDS on 10 Attempts. Cincy put up 406 yards of total offense, but fell short to many times. The main difference was USC put up 602 yards of offense. Cincy basically sold out to stop baxter every play, blitzing the whole team and putting 9 in the box. Barkley would audible out of the run and there would be 3-4 guys wide open. Barkley would light them up all game long going 16-24 for 422 yards and 5 TDs. The WR corps was unstoppable all game. HB Baxter was also no slouch getting his game going late with a total of 141 yards and 3 TDs, capped by a 36 yard TD run late. HB M. Tyler also had 1 carry for 76 yards and a TD. Cincy had an awesome offense who could not put the ball in the endzone and a TERRIBLE defense. USC completely embarrasses them by exploiting their weakness all game long. The clock expired and the team stormed the field as confetti flew from the rafters. QB Matt Barkley jumped on the bench and triumphantly shook his fist as the Player of the Game and the QB of the world champion Trojans. LA is going nuts and Hova has his first title under his belt. Here is to many more in Southern LA!!!"
