    2011 Week 14

We have advanced guys. I managed to rig up a power supply before departing with the GF to the hotel for who knows how long. I don't have my xbox so I can't provide all the write ups and stuff as usual. If someone else wants to copy the format and put it up I'd appreciate it.

    Next advance:
    Saturday 9pm

Hopefully I'll be back in my apartment by then.

Va Tech vs #13 Boise St
    W48-17

Virginia Tech saved the best for last and might have saved Coach Hokies job with their impressive road victory over #13 Boise St. Ju Ju Clayton threw for 361yds 3 TD and suprisely only 1 INT which came off a tipped ball. Clayton's favorite target was of course Jarret Boykin who hauled in 8 rec for 194yds 3 TD. Ryan Williams finally hit the century mark again with 105 yds. Virginia Tech built an early lead and was able to play some of their back ups for most of the second half. This well needed win makes Va Tech bowl elgible as they look to finish out the 2011 season on a high note. Look for major changes during the off season as the Hokies look for a new identity.

Nice win Hokie. I'm glad to see you're bowl eligible. I'm also pretty sure you thought about the foreshadowing effect you've provided for when BSU plays VaTech next year.

Thanks for the support gator....its been a very bad year.

Boise State will be a very dangerous team next year. They return 20 starters next year from a team that went 14-0 with a BCS bowl win. Should be a great game next year. Crazy how as the college football season ends, I already can't wait for next year to start.

    Gators Rebound

The Gators looked to right the ship after a disappointing loss to rival FSU last week. They did so this week by going on the road and knocking off #20 Ok St.

The Gators utilized a balanced attack in this one trying to get Jeff Demps involved early and often. Brantley and D. Thompson also had strong performances in route to the victory.

"It was a long week. Everyone was really pissed about losing last week to FSU. We couldn't wait to get back on the field and knock somebody's head off to get rid of the nasty taste in our mouthes." - Jr MLB Brandon Beal

Not necessarily, he didn't sign with an agent so he may change his mind (crossing fingers)...but Bud Foster's D reloads, so we will be okay. Everyone thought we were in trouble when Adibi and Hall left at LB, and Cody Grimm stepped up this year and was probably one of the best and most underrated defenders in the NCAA.

Auburn lays into SMU but was worried after the first drive where the Mustangs took it to the Tigers for the opening score. Harry Adams was finally able to get in the endzone on a kick return and he did it twice 87 and 83 yards. The defensive reserves were in at 49-14 and the offensive starters came out at 56-20. Final score 63-27

    UVA- 30, #18 WVU- 17, OT

It's clear that UVA's best player is SR-WR Jared Green. 3 quarters, the offense was stagnant...UVA didn't score a SINGLE point through 3 and was down 17-0. UVA then went on a rampage as the offense finally woke up in the 4th and scored 17 unanswered points (Smalls 1 yard run, FG and 22 yard pass from Smalls to Green).

In OT, and not winning the toss, they had to go on offense first. 1st down, 0 yard run by Mack. 2nd down, incomplete pass to WR Hurd. 3rd down, Green went on a go route and Smalls tossed a perfect pass to the outside shoulder of Green who hauled in a 25 yard TD pass! Up 24-17 and WVU needing a TD, their QB dropped back to set up a screen but the pressure from DT N. Jenkins was too much as their QB C.White fumbled and M.Williams picked up the ball and returned it 68 yards for the score!

Smalls- 20/41, 328yds, 2TD's, INT (missed much of 2nd quarter with stinger i believe), rush TD
    Mack- 20car, 88yds
    Green- 12rec, 212yds, 2TD's (godsend)
    Taliferro- 5 tackles, 2FF, 2FR

Scoop and score in OT. Very Nice! I was confused how you won by two scores in OT at first but that explains it.

    #1 Clemson - 31
    LSU - 17

In week 14, Clemson traveled to Baton Rouge to face that other team they call the Tigers. Talk about a trap game! Although LSU (6-5) has had a disappointing season, they remain quite talented and can play with any team in the nation. The game remained low scoring throughout the first half, until Kyle Parker hooked up with Bryce McNeal for a 65 yard go route to put the Tigers inside the redzone. Clemson would later score to make it 14-3 and headed into half with a 17-3 lead. LSU would get the offense moving late in the third and into the fourth, but Clemson held on to their 14 point lead and move into the ACC Championship game with an undefeated season on the line.

    Stats

    Clemson

Willy Korn 5/7 67 yards 0/2 (pulled in 1st quarter)
    Kyle Parker 8/12 138 1/1 - 12 rushes 49 yards 2 TDs (player of the game)
Jamie Harper 14 rushes 60 yards 1 TD (injured on first drive in 3rd quarter)
Andre Ellington 15 rushes 67 yards
Bryce McNeal 5 receptions 111 yards 1 TD

    LSU

    Russell Shepard 9/18 175 yards 1/2
TC McCartney 3 receptions 45 yards (go Sal Aunese!)
Rueben Randle 2 receptions 75 yards 1 TD

Clemson steps into the ACC CG undefeated. Wow the pressures building!

What's the story with Harper? How longs he out for? And what's up with Willy Korn getting the hook two games in a row?

Jamie Harper had a mild concussion just out for the game.
And Willy Korn can suck on a popcicle on the sidelines...Kyle Parker is the starter now.

Heels Pound #14 Bearcats Into Submission

Christian Wilson and the Heels had the Bearcats feeling blue all day

North Carolina cruised against #14 Cincinnati to a 48-21 victory. Christian Wilson was his usual beastly self as he caught 12 passes for 225 yards and 2 TDs. PotG, QB Mike Paulus put up equally studly numbers as he threw for 378 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT, and ran for 1 TD as well. The Heels out gained the Cats 480 yards to 280. The Heels porous defense only allowed 13 rushing yards, which is a tremendous feat for them.

There were only minor injuries, and with an BYE week before the conference championship game, the Heels expect to be at full health when they face the mighty Clemson Tigers.
