Early in the race for the heisman trophy its all about the running backs. Bamas Trent richardson(trying to win back to back heismans)continues to lead, but barely, after last weeks 10 carry 44 yard performance against Oklahoma St. 2nd is Florida St. HB Chris Thompson. TCUs Matthew Tucker has moved up to 3rd, while GA. RB Thomas makes he's first apperance at the 5 spot. 4th is Utah HB T. Palamo who dropped a spot even though he carried the rock 26 times for 127 yards and a td in there win over Miami.

    1. SR. Trent Richardson Alabama - year to date 50 carries 352 yards and 5 tds
    2. SR. Chris Thompson Florida St. -- year to date 44 carries 183 yards 1 td
    3. SR. Matthew Tucker TCU --UP --year to date 51 carries 318 yards 7 tds

Palamo ran for 1400 yards last year, so that may still be playing a part in it.

This isn't last year...They have never judged a performance on the year before to see who wins the heisman... This is a yearly thing, not a running poll that continues through the offseason.

I know that. But the first few polls of the new year are normally partly based off what you did the year before. You have to play a couple game to start building up stats.

Richardson continues to lead the heisman voting and my never trail if Alabama goes undefeated. The only QB has jumped to second. Maxwell uses his pass/run ability to cause havoc on defenses. The rest are running backs as they continue to dominate the poll. The only other user is usc rb morgan who sits in fourth.

    1. SR. Trent Richardson Alabama / YTD / 87 rushes 610 yards 8 tds
    2. JR. Andrew Maxwell Michigan St. / YTD / 44/92 768 yards 10 tds 2 picks / 46 rushes 198 yards 5 tds
    3. SR. Onterio Mccalebb Auburn / YTD / 74 rushes 404 yards 6 tds
    4. SO. DJ Morgan USC / YTD / 88 rushes 517 yards 7 tds / 10 catches 97 yards 1 td
    5. JR. James White Wisconsin 57 345 yards 5 tds

I know Ellington isn't even close to being in this Heisman race but I just had a big game with him but those stats aren't gonna show up b/c of this damn Transfer Failed error EA can't seem to fix.

WOW. What a difference a week makes. Only one spot stayed the same.

Richardson is holding steady to the top spot after running for 213 yards and 3 tds in a win over Georgia. DJ Morgan jumps two spots after running for 190 yards and 1 td in a 27-24 win at Utah. Oregon QB D. Thomas makes his first entrance into the top 5 after throwing for 385 yards and totaling 7 tds. Tucker of TCU and Brunetti of Mississippi round out this weeks top 5.

    1. SR. HB Trent Richardson Alabama / YTD / 121 rushes 823 yards 11 tds
    2. SO. HB DJ Morgan USC / YTD / 116 rushes 707 yards 8 tds / 13 catches 182 yards 3 tds
    3. SR. QB Darron Thomas Oregon / YTD / 46/71 1044 yards 13 tds 38 carries 223 yards 3 tds
    4. SR. HB Matthew Tucker TCU / YTD / 80 carries 475 yards 8 tds 13 catches 149 yards 4 tds
