    2012 Maryland Terrapins

    Offense: Miss State
    Defense: 4-2-5

With the loss of highly feared Junior Qb Murray for nine weeks, the Terrapins will have to have players step up in other positions in order to have a sucessful season.

OFFENSE- Stays in the shotgun sets all game using mostly a spread offense attack.

When passing, he usually looks for short passes...slants mostly...helps to have good CB's and good secondary. Doesn't look downfield much at all...look inside for guys getting loose then to the 2nd tier/3rd tier routes that maybe open.

Maryland doesn't run traditionally. They'll do options with their QB, some wildcat plays with their speedy RB. That's their run attack. He'll rarely keep the option pitches because his QB is more of a pocket passer than a runner.

DEFENSE- Likes to control the safety. Plays aggressive and for the big hit. I was able to hit some big plays taking advantage of this. Mostly a man guy but uses some zone. His guys aren't the best cover guys. 4-2-5 leaves his CB's on an island and i feel u can and should take advantage. His LB's are pretty beastly but they are more of a read and react defense and not a overly blitz happy, keep you on your toes type defense (heavy blitzes)
