    Owners,

We are now in Stage-7, the last and final stage before the 2014 NFL Draft. The FA negotiation rounds have ended and scouting is the only action that remains. To that effect, FA is now closed until after the NFL Draft.

Please note that the league will complete a single round FA draft that will commence after the NFL Draft, details forthcoming.

In the final round of FA negotiations, the New York Jets picked up an additional DE to shore up that strong 3-4 defensive scheme.

    3. LOLB Niko Koutouvides (74)

Wow, 45M for Boldin in Cincinnatii. That's a big time, very expensive move.

$12M/year??! Well, I can't hate Webster for that; no way Minny would have paid him anything close to $12M. I had offered him $9M/year, which was a good $2M north of what he was asking for. Atlanta definitely overpaid by a good $2-3M, but in a pass-heavy league I'm sure it will pay dividends.

Side Note - The Vikings are officially in the market for a CB, and/or in moving up in the draft to find one! We ended up dropping Winfield, and I'm sure the team that picked him up in FA won't be happy to see that his speed dropped to a 79!

Yeah I am an idoit. I thought the teams listed that made offers were the order in which who had the highest bid. So I kept increasing the offer. I realized that it was just the order an offer was recieved later on......

Oh well, very happy I landed him. I am really trying to beef up my D this year. I figure I can score with anyone in the league (1st in offense both years), but I have trouble stopping most.

The Packers do! As do the teams we're concerned about for next season - Atlanta, Washington, etc.

Kansas City is now a contender with some BIG moves this off season:

    • In a trade with the Browns, KC gets Ahtyba Rubin (92 overall DT) and Jermaine Lawhorn (80 overall CB) for Dontari Poe (80 overall DT) and Brandon Flowers (91 overall CB)
    • In a trade with the Jets, KC gets Tim Tebow (77 overall QB) and the graces of God for their 2nd round draft pick (41st overall)
    • KC signs Antoine Winfield (87 overall CB)
    • KC signs Isa Abdul-Quddus (74 overall FS)
    • KC signs Brandon Meriweather (79 overall SS)
    • KC signs James Jones (80 overall WR)
Look out for the Chiefs next season!

Yessir, we were looking to provide some depth on our defense. We love the guys we brought in. Defensive line added some strong players to hold up against the run.

By looking at your tendencies in the offseason, it looks like your going big on the 3-4 defense.

Yeah, the guy before me had switched the Skins to a 4-3 defense. Had Orakpo and Kerrigan playing DE. I had switched them back to 3-4 when I took over but we didn't have any personnel that fit 3-4 outside of the starters.

This is a Daniel Snyder sized free agent haul.

Yeah except we spent our money wisely and are still $18 million under the cap (counting a 14 mil cap penalty from the previous coach). We'll have $32 mil of space after the penalty goes away next offseason.

    Only half a million =[

I knew I should've upped it a bit more but I had to save some cap space for JPP being a FA next offseason.

Yeah, trust me, I looked at your situation when figuring out the number I was going to offer.
