13-1, Big 10 Champs, heading into bowl season OSU looked poised this year to be contending for a National Title. But the voters didn't see it that way; The Buckeyes would have to settle for a Rose Bowl win. A lot of teams would pack it in and say screw it, but at Ohio State adversity builds character and we will compete. The standard is still the same, but with one goal: leave no doubt, and win a national title. Offense The Buckeye offense is again the key to whether or not Ohio State will contend. It's no secret Braxton Miller is QB1 in Columbus. This year it's his team, and the standard has been raised. The coaching staff expects a decrease in INT's and sacks. The coaching staff expect it to be Miller Time in Columbus and take over. OSU will continue have to a brusing run game. The Buckeyes have three solid backs and they expect to get carries. The WR's are young and experienced, with sophomore receiver Corey "Philly" Brown and TE Jake Stoneburner leading the way. The O-line will have to improve in pass pro, as they 63 sacks last season. Defense Defense wins championships, and this will be the unit that will win OSU a B1G 10 title. Losing John Simon will hurt, but the Bucks return "Big"John Hankins inside and Adam Bellamy on the inside. The linebackers are young and inexperienced. But Curtis Grant and Storm Klein expect to fill in nicely. Dominic Clarke and Travis Howard also return to anchor the corners and CJ Barnett, Jamie Wood and Orhian Johnson anchor the safety position.
