    Cody Wells

    UL-Monroe
(143.2)196.2 QB Rating (335/640)163/252 (5755)2987 Yards (46/27)28/6 TD/INT (52.3)64.7 Comp% 2 Rush TDs Wells has made the leap this season going from 7th on the list to the top under new Coach AJ Speck. He tops the nation in QB Rating at 196.2 as well as TD with 28. He’s 2nd in the nation is passing yards with 2987. He’s third in the nation in YPG at 373.3. He’s put UL Monroe’s offense on the map as they are 2nd as a unit in total yards with 5,429 trailing only #19 Rutgers. He’s clearly dominating C-USA defenses despite his mediocre pedigree. ULM’s got 4 games left on the schedule and it will be interesting to see if Wells can challenge some season records. (y)

(169.7)181 QB Rating (482/811)155/230 (8985)2587 Yards (69/44)20/11 TD/INT (59.4)67.4 (7)4 Rush TDs Isabelle falls out of the top spot due to Wells extraordinary season not due to his own performance. He still ranks third in the conference in yards, QB Rating, 4th in TD passes and 1st in Completion %. I’m really quite amazed he’s been able to stay healthy for 3 season as he’s been sacked 118 times in his career including 32 this season. He’s still the most talented QB in the conference and Impact Player/Captain of the Blazers. The #’s hes put up this season are a testament to his own talent as he doesn’t have surrounding him. (n)

    Alex Carder
    [IMG]Western Michigan
(182.3)192.8 QB Rating (424/696)125/192 (8144)2309 Yards (68/32)21/9 TD/INT (60.9)65.1 Comp % (3)2 Rush TDs Carder looks like he’s on his way to leading the Broncos to back-2-back C-USA East titles as an Impact Player. As always he’s a great decision maker and is 2nd in both Completion % and QB Rating. He’s also thrown for 20 TD’s despite being towards the bottom in passing attempts. With 3 conference games to play and possibly facing a must win @ WKU in the final week of conference play Carder will need to continue his outstanding play. [IMG]
    4 [IMG]
    Blaine Gautier
    [IMG]
    UL-Lafayette
174.6 QB Rating 138/246 2877 Yards 23/13 TD/INT 56.1 Comp % Gautier has proven to be somewhat worthy in taking over for the fraudulent Chris Masson in Snoopys high powered passing offense. He is 2nd in the nation in total passing yards with 2,877. His biggest weakness is he throws a few too many picks with 13 on the season. Those prove costly when your defense can’t stop anyone. His 23 Td’s our 2nd highest in conference and if he can cut down on interceptions in the remaining 4 games he could rise up the poll as well as put ULL in position to win the West. (y)
    5 [IMG]
    Dennis Brewster
    [IMG]Utah State
170.3 QB Rating 122/213 2342 Yards 17/6 TD/INT 57.3 Comp% 7 Rushing TDs Coach Steamer clearly knew what he was doing when he named Brewster starting QB at C-USA media day. He’s led the Aggies to a 1 game lead in the West and a 7-1 season record where they are starting to show up in pollsters minds. In USU’s remaining 4 games they’ll square off against two of the teams trailing them in the standings in Arkansas State and ULL which should be the ultimate test for the freshman. Brewster should be a player to watch over the next 3 seasons as he’s got a bright future in front of him. (y)
    6 [IMG]
    Kawaun "JQwon" Jakes
    [IMG]Western Kentucky
(132.2)133.3 QB Rating (339/648)79/148 (5818)1372 (30/35)7/10 (52.3)53.4 496 Rush Yards (19)9 Rush TDs JQwon is continually plagued by the fact that he’s just not a QB. It’s really hard to rank guys like him and Brewster because they clearly have a bigger effect on the defense then their passing #’s would indicate. He’s clearly relishing the run game this season putting up 496 yards on the ground and 9 TD’s. If it wasn’t for 10 sacks those yard #’s would be even higher. Coach DCD is clearly embracing Qwon’s athletic ability in his Senior season. (n)

24(17 passing) TDs/ 6 picks as a freshman! :D My all time favorite recruit. A 2 star ATH offered in week 4 of the offseason becomes my most efficient QB. Makes my Idaho QB transfer even sweeter seeing that he will be riding bench in Logan Utah :)

    Spencer Keith

    |(121.4)132 QB Rating (411/875)146/300 (7210)2746 Yards (41/45)18/20 TD/INT (47)48.7 Comp % (1)Rush TD|The loss of Keith’s favorite target Ty$haun Goode has really hurt his #’s this year as the #’s clearly indicate him missing his #1 target. His Completion % has gone backwards his TD/INT ratio has gone backwards and he just doesn’t look like the same player as last season costing his team several games. He’s been forced to air it out significantly more this season that last as well which has probably contributed to his efficiency #’s as well. It’s left the Golden Flashes clinging to bowl hopes. Interestingly enough Keith actually is the career leader in conference passing attempts and interceptions and is currently the NCAA leader in INT for a season with 20.|(n)

    [IMG]Idaho
    |(135.3)132.5[/URL] QB Rating (237/450)169/321 (3738)2660 Yards (26/14)16/10 TD/INT (52.7)52.6 Comp % |The sophomore Terry continues to impress despite limited ability. He’s pretty much continued to progress after he put up decent numbers as a freshman in limited playing time. He’s got one of the least talented receiving cores in the conference so to throw for 2,660 yards through 9 games is pretty impressive. His biggest issue will be holding off Idaho’s incoming :4stars: QB recruit.|(y)

    Andre Smith
    |
    [IMG]Arkansas State
    |157.1 QB Rating 133/215 1881 Yards 19/8 TD/INT 61.9 Comp% 4 Rushing TD’s|You could definitely make an argument that Smith should be hire on this list after taking over for First Team All American Ryan Aplin when he succumbed to a season ending injury in Week 1. He’s exceeded all expectations as a starter but has been limited as a thrower to due superstar RB Dontae Aycock. Smith isn’t without talent though as he would start for most C-USA teams and had shown why with a stellar 19/8 TD/INT ratio and completing 61.9 % of his passes. On other teams he would be the center of the offense but Aycock is so large his girth overshadows Smith.|

Though he has missed a good portion of the season he’s put up decent numbers while on the field. It would have been nice to see what he might do in a full season but we won’t get that chance as he’s got Jihad to slay.|(n)

    Brett Burnette

    [IMG]MidTenn State
    | (127.6)128.4 QB Rating (251/453)156/276 (3582)2222 Yards (20/20)12/14 TD/INT (55.4)56.5 Comp % (3)2 Rush TDs|Burnette has managed to not get hurt this season after an injury plagued 2011 but his production has not matched expectations. He’s led MTSU to a lowly 3-7 record in his senior season. I’m sure Coach TimRoy will be glad to see Burnette walk across the stage this May.|(n)

Eastern Michigan|(71.6)79.6 QB Rating (216/585)53/131 (2679)730 Yards (12/31)3/10 TD/INT (36.9)40.5 Comp % (3)Rush TDs|It looks like Crumb may have finally pulled the plug on the Payne at QB experiment. I can’t say it wasn’t without justification as Payne was the worst QB in the conference for 3 years running. His #’s were abysmal, he lacked talent and he turned the ball over too much. Those all led to 1 win in 3 seasons at the helm of EMU.| [IMG]
