Five week 1 signings for Washington.

    :3stars: #41 QB Marlon Wise
I have him scouted as a 69 overall (+4), but he is not fully scouted. He will come onto campus with 83 THP and 77 THA. The most appealing thing about him is his size. At 6'6", 233 lbs, he will be taller than most players on the field and should be able to take a beating. He could be a really special player if his mobility ratings end up even a little bit higher than projected values. He should have plenty of time to develop with 2 current freshman on the roster.

    :4stars:#11 HB T.J. Johnson
I have him as a 71 (+0) but he's not scouted a whole lot so it could swing up or down. He's got an A projected speed rating and the rest of his stats are solid. Not certain what I will get with him, but hopefully we will turn into a solid player regardless.

    :3stars:#57 TE Brian Sapp
I didn't scout him much, as I was limited in options here, but he's projected as a 62 with a little bit of scouting. I have needs at FB and need to get some TE depth, and he was one of the only TEs I liked who was interested. He's got good size at 6'4" 235, and should be a good receiving option doing the road.

    :3stars:#45 MLB Curtis Kearney
Another position of need, so not much scouting. Currently a 63 (+1). He's projected to have solid speed and quickness. No huge weaknesses. He has a 68 man coverage rating, which is quite good for a linebacker.

    :3stars:#76 OLB Brett Crenshaw
64 overall, moderately scouted. Depending on how his ratings come in, he may end up making a move to DE. Either way, I need some depth at both positions. He is pretty fast, and has ok finesse moves. Definitely has the potential to be a good starter a few years down the line. Good size at 6'4" 227.

    >Fun Fact: Johnson and Wise are both from Cupertino, CA.
Nothing really exciting, aside from the HB who could be boom or bust.
All in all, this will let me drop some guys I was recruiting for depth at these positions and poor lots of time into higher quality guys as I don't need to fill a ton of scholarships this year.

Nothing to amazing here. Solid strength at 83, projected to be higher 60s overall. This is a position need for the Terps and we will take what we can get. Hopefully will have some kind of role in the future.

Likely a depth signing as he will not be coming in ready to play, could be a starter down the line with proper evelopment

Iowa lands its first recruit of the season.

    :4stars:WR (#45) Chris McKinney - 6'3 210 - La Vista NE

Only 52 percent scouted, but currently has a rating of 67. A definite redshirt candidate. Also had one scholarship offer from Texas Tech. His A speed coupled with height made him an attractive recruit. However, will need to work on his hands to find his way on the field.

Michigan State is still buying beer and hookers but nobody has signed the dotted line yet. Maybe next week?

If not, at least 5 guys have visits scheduled in the mid-season weeks.

Maryland receives their 2nd commit of the season in :4stars:WR Bernard Allen. Allen looks to be a decent prospect with very solid athletic skills but will need to redshirt a year and learn how to CATCH. With the huge amount of WR depth in Marylands future he will have to earn his spot, but may become a solid possesion starter 2-3 years down the road.

    :3stars:TE William Hollis 6'4" 257 lbs

Solid pass catching TE, Hollis comes in with 83 catching already and solid size and speed. He will be able to either step in and play in the spread system right away or take a redshirt depending on how the situation at TE is next year

Sparty finally gets one! I nice MLB junior JUCO from Florida that can step right into the rotation next season and probably start the following year. 35% scouted at 76 hopefully he comes in at that level or higher.

Bigger news than that is Michigan State just opened a PIPELINE to Florida!!

Virginia is 1st on 7 players that we have extended offers to and 6 of them have a scheduled visit this week. I expect some of those will commit to us coming into the next week..

Arizona State lands its first two recruits of the season.

#26 WR Danny Graves - Black Forest, CO :4stars:

Graves is a possession guy, at only 6'0" and 176 lbs. He does not possess top end speed, acceleration or moves; but, he does possess excellent catch and carrying ratings. He will redshirt his first year, but should see playing time in his second year on campus.

#16 SS Stephen Brooks - Carlsbad, CA :3stars:

Brooks is small for a SS at 6'3" 180 lbs, but the Sun Devils staff hopes he can add some mass in the weight room in the Adam Archuletta mold. Brooks has solid pursuit skills and zone coverage ratings and will probably see some playing time his freshman year.

I basically was looking for something to add depth to the QB position. He cannot run worth shit and his throwing arm is weak and inaccurate.

He will fit right into the B1G with that lack of speed

He's actually pretty solid, especially if I wanna switch to a 3-4 and have him be the James Harrison type.
