Rutgers signed 3 star pocket passing QB Marlon Bentley today. They were originally going after a 4 star QB but found out he was a dud and Bentley was a gem.

Michigan signed 4-star athlete, Brian Statton. He's expected to play either QB or WR.

Yeah, EA was definitely more stingy with the pitch ratings this year. I think it's a good change though, in the past it seemed like all the 6 stars had almost all A ratings. I've only got 4 of them right now, and one is Academics, which doesn't help with many guys :).

I'm glad they lowered the pitch ratings for teams. What's the point of dynamic pitches if you start and stay at the top?? I also think the pitches are given much more literal grades.

    A - Excellent
    B - Above Average
    C - Average
    D - Below Average

Since the grades were much more inflated in past NCAA titles, it seems like anything below a B is bad, while this isn't necessarily true, it's not going to wow your recruits either.

The lone signing for Texas so far has been #1 WR Keith Davis. He was a week 1 instant commit.

His size, at 6'3" 191, was on the biggest reasons schools were pursuing him. Unfortunately, scouting shows that he may not be worthy of his 5 star ranking (73 ovr, -5). Overall, his stats are still not bad and he could develop into a very good player. He just may not have as big of an immediate impact as initially hoped.

6 visitors almost all gave me A+'s and no commits. Looking at my board, I'm going to be struggling just to fill my 11 spots. Digging for prospects seems like more of a pain this year, going to have to get a little more invested to really get something of value. Can't say I have any real difference makers found yet either, just seems like a lot of average recruits out there.

    Week 2 Florida Gator Commits

FU no longer needs a Kicker as Mike Jackson (not the same guy ;0) a 3 star kicker has committed to spending his college career at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. he has C Kick Power and C Kick Accurracy, so hopefully the gators will not need to punt 6 times per game like they did vs the Vols this year, because we may lose the field position battle like that.

In my assessment, I left out the 3 spot cushion, so technically I do have 14 spots. I also have a few potential juniors that could bolt early on me, but we'll see what happens.

Rutgers received two commitments this week. The first was from WR Dennis Holt from Dearborn Heights, Michigan. He is a 3 star WR and he is 6'3" 191. The second is from Kevin Sims. Sims is a 2 star CB that is 5'11" and 186 from Ox. Hill-Glassmanor, Maryland. I truly don't believe I offered either of these players so the CPU must of. Oh well I will probably need them.

Louisville signed its first recruit of the season this week. 4 star wr 6'0 200 lbs from Vincennes, In Joe Montgomery he has a lot of speed but is lacking in acceleration. He will be a good addition to a solid receiving core.

ND finally pulls in recruit #1 in DT James Poland. It isn't a huge need area, but our philosophy is to build depth on the lines and he's a big body that should really blossom with a RS year and be a big contributor in a few seasons.

After this past week, I have started to make some headway and should be able to pull a few guys in over the next few weeks. There are a few guys that could be studs yet, nothing overly amazing, but solid guys that should help the team out.

ATH Antonio Flynn committed to the Irish today. The 5 star proved to be a little overrated after scouting, but even so he has a strong skill set and great size that we'll be able to plug in at a linebacker spot, tight end, or even safety. Going to be a fight between the position coaches on where he ends up. That gives us 2 commits and 12 spots to fill.

Thanks man! He's definitely a stud, going to be fun figuring out what to do with him. Leaning towards having him be the guy to fill Teo's shoes, going to start getting thin at LB soon and his size and speed would be great there. Hopefully a redshirt year would help get his tackling numbers a little better. Otherwise, he'd be a beast TE. Good problem to have, loving that athletes are actually capable of going to several different spots now.

No more athletic QB's!!! I can't take playing against that crap every season with you, I was fortunate once, but I seriously had no real answer to stopping that other than the relatively ridiculous picks I got.
