The Broncos first drive was effortless, as Carder found FB Smith in the endzone to start the game. But the Raiders were able to get some big plays from the run. Cunningham scored on a 38 yard run to tie the game. But Carder hit WR Ponder with a perfect pass on a post route in stride for a 55 yard score. HB Drake opened the third with a score of his own. But Cheez would not go away. HB Kilgore made it a one score game at 21-14 going into the fourth. But Ponder stepped his game up when needed. He only had 3 catches for the game. The first was the touchdown. The second was off of a 3rd and 18 in which he converted the catch for a first down. His final was a 42 yard TD off a screen. MTSU was unable to overcome the sacks that plagued their offense (8 total for the Broncos), and WMU is 2-0 to start the season.

Hey man, I'm still planning on tonight, but there is a possibility I won't be able to make it. If I can't, tomorrow anytime will work just fine. I'll post again this afternoon if I know for sure.

    Upset in Fayetteville

    Arkansas 35
    Arkansas State 40

The Red Wolves are flying high after an upset win at #11 Arkansas. Things did not look good as Arkansas running back Wingo Jr took the first play, a toss to the left, 68 yards for a touchdown. Nothing got better for the Arkansas State defense as the Razorback offense was able to find big plays in the passing game but was able to stifle the run game. On the other hand the Arkansas State offense was near unstoppable, especially the running game. Thornton ran 33 times for 233 yards and 2 TD and his backup enjoyed the same lanes running 18 times for 111 yards and 2 TD. Aplin went 7-13 with a TD and no picks. After the game an ecstatic Coach Darr said "We came into the game with the mindset that we needed to control the ball and not allow Arkansas to put up points. I can't say enough about the teams performance today." Arkansas State heads home next week to take on Tulane.

Lets try and get it done tonight if possible...I will most likely have several beers in my system by midnight Friday and have a game in After Midnight to play around 10:30pm (user game) But if we cant go tonight, then you'll get the buzzed commish and all his glory (no homo) :) Although playing with San Jose State should require alcohol just to put up with that team!!!

    lol...

btw, is there a point to recruiting with these schools? I find it incredibly boring to sift through the 1 and 2* players when they're all just bad...seems like a waste of time. Am I alone here?

Well, depends on how long you plan on staying there I guess. I usually just try and find guys interested in my school and make sure I have a full roster. Going after top talent is out of the question.
