Looking back at last years highlights there was some improvement before the Jags start their inagural season in the Sun Belt. Starting off with a tough schedule this year alot of people not only will see a New HC but new personal on the field. Starting with the HC, Coach Pierce was introduced in the spring to succeed Joey Jones who rolled to an impressive 23-4 record as the HC. But he decided to go elsewhere for better pastures. Coach Pierce comes from High school in La where he rolled up an impressive 410 wins since starting in 1976. and with numerous State Titles to go with those wins. He decided last yr was his final year at the school named Calvary Christian. CP is a no-nonsense coach who has very little patience for failure. he is hoping the leaders on this team can lead the Jags to a successful year in their 1st season in the Sun Belt. "alot of hard work has been done and everyone knows what's in store for this year, its gonna be a learning year as we come into Div 1 and into better competetion."

The Offense is led by a young Soph who hopes to improve from last yrs numbers of 1,640 yrds and 7 td's and 17 int's. Both Houston and Baker who rushed for a combined total of 1,000 yrds hope to continue to tag team the running game into success. The receiving core is young with no Sr's on the front. and with 1 Sr on the OL the Future is Bright. course the LG position is getting the most press as it is anchored by 2 players who weigh an impressive 350 and 365, How they will do in their 1st season has many questions raised. The defense is young also with only 3 seniors from DE all the way down to FS. course having Bama Transfer BJ Scott helps as he has previous Div 1 playing experience should help the defense.

How this year will go all depends on everyone playing their part to have a successful year. The Jags open the year vs Wash St who also is under New mangement with Coach Leach taking over.
