    Week 1 @ Notre Dame

    DOUBLE OVERTIME FINAL

    #2 USC 54
    Notre Dame 51

Holyyy Shit!! What a Game! Well we found out at USC that we cannot play defense, atleast agaisnt Notre Dame. We also cannot run the ball. HB Vickers gets his FIRST HANDOFF of his career and BAM strained back goes down for 4 Weeks. HB Baxter found himself starting once again and... played terrible. He had 2 costly fumbles on the day and only getting 44 yards on 13 attempts. QB Dayne Crist of Notre Dame was COMPLETELY unstoppable, he would run, pass, and dominate his way to the endzone every possession. USC found themselves down 17-0 early. That is when we decided to abandon the running game, get out WRs out on the field and let Barkley do his thing, and did he ever. He led 3 straight scoring drives to get within 7. The WRs were making huge plays all game long and Barkley was lights out. The game would continue to be a massive shootout where neither team could play defense. Barkley was spreading the ball around to 7 different WRs. USC found themselves down 14 once again with 4 minutes left. Barkley threw yet another TD and we got a stop on defense. We tied it up again and of course Notre Dame scores with 1 minute left. We would then march down the field and score in 3 plays to tie the game. The defense would hold Crist AMAZINGLY and send us to OT. The first OT were two FG exchanges. Notre Dame would then take the ball and score another FG. The defense played admirably in OT after getting scorched all game. USC would then take the ball and get to 3rd and 10 on the 15. QB Matt Barkley stepped back, and threw a rocket over the Middle to a Wide open Brice Butler for the game winning TD. The Trojans went nuts and won the Rivalry Game over the Irish!

Matt Barkley shattered every significant passing record at USC with this Heisman performance:

    QB Matt Barkley 219.2 Rating, 26/47, 666 Yards, 7 Tds, 1 INT

WR Brice Butler led the team with 169 yards on 9 catches and 2 TDs including the game winner.

Notre Dame had Two 100 yard rushers with 3 TDs total. Crist also had 4 TDs himself. SS Starling missed most of the game with injury and Vickers goes down for 4 Weeks. Not the start USC was expecting but we will take the W!

    Week 2 USC 35 Iowa 17

"USC welcomed Iowa into the Coliseum for a battle in conference challenge. It would be a game of high powered offenses (Both put up over 400 yard of offense) but the difference in the game was turnovers... Iowa had 3, USC had 0. All American CB Byron Moore had all 3 interceptions in a huge game at CB. QB Barkley had an efficient game but HB Dillon Baxter was the true driving force of the offense with 287 yard rushing on 20 atts and 4 TDs. The Heisman favorite was nearly unstoppable all game with his combination of speed and power. WR Brice Butler also had an amazing TD catch and run where he broke 3 tackles, this can be seen in the highlight section. USC wins big thanks to the run game and turnovers. They head on BYE next week before returning home to host Washington St. GG JC."

"USC welcomed the lowly cougars into the Grand Ole Lady and completely destroyed them as they do annually. The one was over fast after USC scored THREE straight defensive TDs, the first by True Freshman CB Franz who got his first career INT and took it to the house for 6:

The desolation would only continue as next possession DT Washington Pick 6d the cougars again. USC scored AGAIN on the next defensive possession before they finally got on the field after CB Moore got his 4th INT of the year. They were the able to get HB Baxter rolling who had 131 yards on 23 carries and 3 TDs. Barkley only passed 5 times the whole game before the starters went out. USC then showed it's option look with QB J Scroggins coming in to finish off the game, he was reminiscent of a young Michael Vick getting 56 yards on 6 scrambles, one on a long 3rd down where he ran around about 4 defenders. USC chewed up the clock and continued to play defense in the 52-7 rout of Washington St. Next week the opponent flying out to LA is much tougher as USC hosts Cnic coached Alabama for a top 5 matchup. A huge game for both teams."

    week 5 USC 21 Bama 45

    Bama 45
    USC 21

USC gets completely destroyed by HB Richardson who could not be stopped on any play the whole game if he did not break the tackle he would fall 5 yards forward. USC fumbled about 5 times and were down 21-0 instantly. Had no chance the whole game, I tried every formation in my playbook, I blitzed 11, I run committed RIGHT where he was running and he would go all the way everytime, never seen anything like it, Richardson has 213 yards and 3 TDs and averaged close to 9 yds a carry.

    Coach Hova after the game:

"We got our asses kicked today, but I suppose we all have them coming some time, you can't win them all and we played like crap. The only bright spot...there were none, we played like shit in every facet of football, we can now go home and cry to our mommys and be back in practice on monday and bounce back @ Cal, if not you can expect alot of people to be benched. We already have 2 benched, Franz will never return a kickoff again in his life after those inexcusable fumbles and Vickers will be taking his ass to the bench as well and will never see daylight again until Baxter gets hurt or tired."

    Week 6 USC 63 Cal 10

    #7 USC 63
    #20 Cal 10

"After losing bad last week at home USC turns it around fast on the road and annihilates Cal in a rivalry game. The defense dominate all game long only giving up 3 points until Cal scored a cheap TD late on the 2nd string defense. The defense turned in SEVEN turnovers including 6 INTs of which 3 were returned for TDs. CB Moore also got his league leading 5th INT of the season. USC set up the run with HB Baxter who had 96 yards and 3 TDs which allowed Barkley to burn the defense multiple times going 7/9 for 165 yards and 2 TDs. USC rolled on both sides of the ball and got their swagger back after being knocked off last week. USC heads home next week for a big matchup with the #12 ranked Stanford Cardinals."

"USC welcomed the cards to LA for a huge pac 10 matchup and USC did not let the home fans down. The first drive looked shaky as QB Andrew Lucked marched down the field for a quick 7 but the USC defense finally came around to get some stops and HB Baxter and the trojan offense were nearly unstoppable. HB Baxter set up the passing game all game long with 191 yards rushing and 2 TDs. QB Matt Barkley had a rating over 300 and threw for 237 yards and 3 TDs. USC wins in dominant fashion as they look to revive their season. Next week is a HUGE matchup vs the # 1 team in the nation, Oregon, who guaranteed to beat us, we look to serve some crow next week."

"USC came into Eugene this year to take on the #1 team in the nation who guaranteed to beat them this year. The guarantee would not come true as USC won big thanks to a powerful offense and key turnovers on a bend but don't break defense. To stop the electric backs of Oregon we stayed back on our assignments and tried to let the backs come to us. It was somewhat effective as we held all the backs under 100 yards each but combined they went for well over 200 thanks to some big runs. On offense Baxter has his usual big performance gaining 144 YDS on 17 carries and scoring 2 TDs. Vickers added 65 and a TD as well. QB Barkley had another amazing game going 12/16 for 322 yards and 3 TDs with a passer rating near 300. WR Kyle Prater and Brice Butler both made big plays for the trojans. USC moves to 6-1 and takes the drivers seat in the pac-10, they also look to jump back into the top 2 after the huge road win vs the #1 team this week. USC heads to Arizona St next week."

"USC welcomed the lowly cats into LA this week and handled them easily. HB Dillon Baxter had a field day running all over the Zona defense rushing for 241 yards and 3 TDs. QB Matt Barkley rarely had to throw but when he did it was all gravy, going 7/11 and throwing 2 TDs. The defense gave up some yardage but only 7 points so it was a good performance including 3 sacks. Arizona moves to 0-8 on the season. USC heads to Washington next week to take on the Huskies."

"USC headed north to face the Huskers in snowy Washington, an unfamiliar weather to the Trojans. The Trojans completely dominated despite the snow and could not be stopped on the ground. HB Baxter was well on his way to a huge day before breaking his thumb and going down for 4 weeks. He was having a record breaking season only to be cut short by an injury late, go figure. He will be pressed to make it back for the UCLA game which could hurt the Trojans. Despite the bad news HB Vickers had a historic comeout party 194 yards and 5 TDs in only 2 quarters before being benched. Barkley through for 112 yards and a TD as well before being sent to the bench at halftime. The defense was stout all day and forced 4 turnovers. USC heads back home to sunny LA next week to host the Beavers."

HB Vickers 194 YDS, 5 TDs
    HB Baxter 66 YDS, TD
HB McNeal 82 YDS, 2 TDs
    QB Scroggins 51 YDS

"USC headed to the rose bowl for a classic matchup with the Big Ten Wolverines. Things started off real bad for USC as they saw themselves down 14-0 early. HB Baxter finally got into a groove and sparked the offense with an 80 yard TD run. USC never looked back after that tying the game up with a Barkley to John Lacey connection for 6. The defense would only give up 3 more point and got 3 INTS with 1 pick 6. Baxter had a triumphant return from injury with a 194 yard performance and 4 TDs. Barkley did not have to pass much but he made some key throws and led USC to the Rose Bowl title that he had promised as a Senior. USC will be a much different team next season but hopefully we can keep a few key pieces. GG Suge, great season for Big Blue!"
