    On the Attack

Michigan jumped out to a 35-0 lead in the 1st quarter and that was all she wrote for the starters for the rest of the day. Minnesota had 4 turnovers in the 1st that started the Michigan landslide. In limited action, speedster Vincent Smith had 72 yards and 3 TDs and Denard Robinson was 3-3 for 106 yards and a TD. The reserves got plenty of work as the Michigan faithfull got a long look at freshman RB Andy White who milked the clock with 108 yards and a TD.

Temple was absolutely ambushed in Athens, OH losing a tough battle to Ohio University 66-52. Curt Phillips and Chris Coyer put on an aerial display both surpassing 400 yds and 4 tds. Temple was unable to overcome a 28-17 halftime deficit - getting as close as 52-52, but then Ohio turned on the afterburners and scored two straight TDs to close out the game.
