Buckeyes survive a scare at home against Purdue. The Boilermakers came ready to play this week, and almost pulled off the upset, if not for the play of the Buckeyes defense and special teams. Down 3 late in the 4th quarter James Louis returned a kick 84 yards down to the Boilermaker 13 yard line. This setup a TD with 56 seconds to give the Bucks a 4 point lead. But the Boilermakers were not done, completing a long pass into Buckeye territory, and inching the ball down the field until CB Corey Brown forced a fumble that was recovered by Dorian Bell to seal the game. Brown also had a key pick 6 in the 3rd quarter to regain the lead for the Buckeyes.

Michiagn comes out flat and just gets by Illinois 34-21. Denard had a very Denard performance with 124 yards rushing and 107 yards passing with 2 TDs and 2 INTs. Vincent Smith had another strong game with 107 yards and a TD. The Illinois offense never did get rolling int his one and left a number of drives on the table.

The Cornhuskers pull out a win in a game that they dominated for 3 quarters, only to see the Sooners take the lead with a minute left in the game. The Huskers took a 20-3 lead into the fourth quarter, however Oklahoma put up 3 touchdowns to take a 24-23 lead. Tyler Martinez led the winning drive behind big pass plays to WR Stephen Pierce and TE Kyler Reed, and HB Dontray Robinson ran it in from 3 yards out to score the winning touchdown. Martinez finished the game 15/27 for 294 yards and 1 rushing td.

Incredibly dissappointing loss for the Owls this past weekend when the hokies came into town. Temple dominated from the outset, taking a 14-0 lead, only to eventually fumble, and throw 2 interceptions in their next 3 visits to the red zone. With a 21-7 lead at halftime, Temple continued to give the Hokies more chances to come back..eventually succumbing to VA Tech who scored 21 unanswered points in the 4th qtr to win 42-28. Ryan Williams ran all over the owls, racking up 314 yds and 2 tds.
