Hokies Squeak By Panthers 27-24 on a Game Ending Field Goal as Time ExpiresMaybe it was the Pitt Coach being arrested for domestic violence, maybe it was a Hokie team that had too many holiday leftovers. Maybe it was the QB from VT getting greedy throwing a pick in the redzone or the missed hokie field goal. All these things played a factor in a game that should not have been this closeWilliams Finished with over 130 yds rushing and a rushing TD.Logan Thomas Went 18-32 for 269 yards - 2 TD's and 1 INT completions to seven different receivers. On Defense the Hokies forced two fumbles, two int's and 1 sack
Bearcats win the C-A-T fight 48-28Cincinnati, OH - Cincinnati Bengals took on the Kentucky Wildcats in a game that the Halfbacks really shined. Both teams spreading the ball to different backs and Both teams amassing staggering rushing totals. The real gamechanger was Munchie Legeaux who could not be stopped when passing. He threw the ball at will. That and the fact that the Bearcat defense would hawk the skies and pick off anything that the Wildcats would throw up. In the KY/OH battle, Cincinnati takes the cake for the beautiful state of Ohio and the Wildcats were sent their very short bus ride home wondering what went wrong.
No. 7 LSU battled through dark storm clouds and heavy rain to beat No. 6 Nebraska 21-10 in an early showcase of national powers.
Defenses dominated the day as neither team reached 250 yards of total offense, but Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez's four interceptions, including a pick-six by LSU safety Craig loston late in the fourth quarter, sealed the Huskers' fate.
Long, time consuming scoring drives defined the first half as Nebraska jumped out to an early 10-7 lead after freshman kicker Michael Parks nailed a 30 yard field goal. LSU got the ball with minutes left in the half, but LSU's freshman quarterback Billy Coles found senior Chris Tolliver for a 69 yard touchdown reception on the first play of the drive.
The second half opened to a defensive standstill as neither team managed to put points on the board in the third quarter. Martinez attempted to lead his team down the field late in the fourth quarter, but Loston jumped the route and returned it to the house for the give the Tigers the win.
LSU now looks to keep their undefeated season alive when the Mississippi State Bulldogs visit Baton Rouge.
Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers. The story of every user vs user game. You know the thing that really pissed me off? On the pick 6, I pressed the button right away to throw that smoke route, but it didn't work. So that gave your FS time to come up in coverage..........for some reason I thought I could still force the ball in there and obviously that didn't work out so well....lol
Good game. Good luck the rest of the season, I'd love a rematch.
Oklahoma Dominates Texas Christian 52-14
Oklahoma debuted strong this season and throttled TCU through the air and on the ground. A strong opening performance by the new coaching staff.
Yeah that was my first user vs user game, and I never really got used to the lag, especially on kicks. I wasn't sure if my connection had anything to do with it or if all those games are like that.
But I think Nebraska should make a trip down to LSU for a rematch in 2013. Home and Home style.
Miami defeats Boston College 27-3. Lamar Miller had over 200 all purpose yards. It looks like he is going to be Mr. Do-it-all for the Canes this year. A big game in terms of yardage for Alonzo Highsmith, but he had 2 interceptions he has to make better decisions if the Canes want to beat the elite teams this year.
#18 Clemson 35
#5 Texas 38
Wow! What a game! Clemson struck first on a 13 yard pass from Parker to Craig early to take a 7-0 lead. Texas answered with a FG, and then the defenses forced some punts. Texas owned the 3rd quarter with Wood hooking up on an 11 yard strike to Goodwin and then a 43 yard pass to Davis to end the half up 17-7. Texas added a FG and then forced a punt before they took a commanding 27-7 lead with a 83 yard TD strike to White. Clemson's Parker fired another TD pass and Texas added a FG, and then the fun started. with the score 30-14, Clemson rattled off 21 unanswered points including a fumble recovery at the goaline and then a TD strike with 22 seconds remaining. Texas got the ball to the Clemson 46 yard line and fired a pass to Goodwin who caught it for the win. Great game!
Man, I hope you have some highlights of that one!
What a great great game. Hopefully Clemson didn't cash-in all of their luck their at the end of the game, just to catch up and lose. LOL Unfortunately, I guess because it was late, I forgot to save any highlights. My bad.
Wow so many big plays. I wish you could watch replays or live streams of other games in online dynasties. This would be a great one to watch. Looks like both QBs played really well.
WV forced 6 turnovers including a pick 6 at the end of the first half as they routed the Cavaliers 59-3. 4 Int's and 2 fumbles was the story of the game, but Tavon Austin the speedy slot receiver and return specialist stellar play is what the offense hung it's hat on. After being knocked out of last weeks games just minutes into it, Austin had a big day catching, running and returning the ball for the Mountaineers. Alston had another good game with td runs if 7, 8 and 25 yards. QB Geno Smith also busted an option keeper 77 yards to the house after 2 defenders bit hard on the fake pitch and 1 stellar pancake on the seal from the WV tightend. WV looks good after 2 early season tune up games...but there toughest tests lay just ahead.

Miami (OH) 20
Ohio State got off to another slow start, only taking a 7-6 lead into the 2nd quarter after Miami missed their extra point, and Miami would take the lead into half 13-10. The Buckeyes came out on a tear in the 2nd half, scoring 28 unanswered points before letting off the gas. The offense was fueled by Carlos Hyde (27 Carries 178 Yards 3 TD). Miami turned the ball over 5 times, mostly in the 2nd half, giving the Buckeyes good field position on multiple drives.
