Temple just escaped the wrath of Akron with a come from behind 58-46 win. Chris Coyer and Patrick Nicely put on an air show with 5 passing tds each! Akheem Smith ran for 140 yds and 2 tds, although he was benched for a couple series after almost fumbling the game away in the 3rd quarter. Another conference win for the Owls as the go back to Philadelphia and prep for a showdown with FCS Northwest.

Ohio State continues to roll, and hopefully hold onto the #1 spot. Minnesota started to make a comeback once the starters were pulled, but the Buckeyes were able to hold on for the 18 point lead.

On a side note, Wyatt was hurt for 2 quarters and I started running a bit of an option offense with Evans. This may be a wrinkle thrown into the playbook next season if Guitton ends up being the starter. He's not quite as quick as Evans (who is graduating), but I think he could still do an alright job running the offense.

Miami defeats Georgia Tech 27-17 in a game were Miami played down to their competition. Georgia Tech had some big pass plays that both went for touchdowns. The Canes pretty much controlled the game throughout. Lamar Miller had another solid game rushing 29 times for 168 yards and 2 touchdowns. Alonzo Highsmith who was once a heisman hopeful has been really inconsistent. The Canes need him to pick it up and hopefully play like he did last year.

So I start the game up and as the kick off is in the air I get an Xbox live message as I'm reading it, Touchdown. OK no prob then as I get the ball the phone rings. This happens all the time game is on I'm on the phone simple, then auto pilot sets in I look up and I'm down 38-14 in the forth inside 5 min. Now at this point I'm contemplating a reset cause I honestly wasn't really playing was I ? So I hang up the phone and punch the clock. Inside of 2 min the score is 42-38 Tigers, piece of cake, games in the bag right, WRONG LSU get the ball and hacks at my defense like Tom Montana/Joe Brady. Now I'm left with 52 sec on the clock too easy, except first play I throw a pick that was bobbled for 20 of the 52 sec left. WTF!

The Bulls offense was on point and made big play after big play. But so was the Mountaineers offense. The Mountaineers managed to knock out QB BJ Daniels and the offense for the Bulls who had been running stride for stride with the Moutaineers was never able to get things quite rolling with back up QB Gunsby.

Temple took control of this game from the outset and sort of made it a yawner - FCS Northwest had no chance...Temple's second team played the entire 2nd half as both Akheem Smith and Myron Myles rushed for over 100 yds and scored 2 touchdowns each. Chris Coyer wasn't needed much in this game as he went 3 for 6 with 16 yards and the Owls rolled 50-7.

    First Quarter
05:54 TD Temple Ahkeem Smith HB #24 13 yard rush
00:47 TD Temple Myron Myles HB #31 10 yard rush

    Second Quarter
06:50 TD Temple Marcus Green MLB #41 74 yard interception
02:59 TD Temple Ahkeem Smith HB #24 58 yard rush

    Third Quarter
05:06 SF FCS Northwest QB #7 QB #7 0 yard safety
02:49 FG Temple Brandon McManus K #19 34 yard field goal
01:07 TD Temple CJ Hammond WR #80 35 yard rush

    Fourth Quarter
06:27 FG Temple Brandon McManus K #19 34 yard field goal
03:55 TD FCS Northwest HB #6 HB #6 11 yard pass from QB #7 QB #7
02:54 TD Temple Myron Myles HB #31 9 yard rush

    Is Wyatt a senior?

He seems to have been serviceabe for you. Guitton is your man for next year?

With Denard and Tate graduating, I have Devin Gardner, who is currently a Redshirt Soph 92 rated QB. SHould be a 95ish Junior next year... with a big arm I might add. But the WRs will be just average with Roundtree Graduating.

Yeah Wyatt and Evans are both seniors. I have 2 freshman coming in who should be nice players too, but I think Guitton will be the starter.
