1. Western Kentucky (18 overall) Western Kentucky has the top spot among user teams coming into week 12. The Hilltoppers have 11 total signed prospects so far. 2-4* star, 8-3* star, and 1-2*star. The class is headlined by 4 star HB M. Burns, 6'1 202 lbs, ATH R. Harris 6'1 223 lbs, and 3 star FS George Golden 6'1 193 lbs. Most are projecting Harris to line up at HB after a redshirt season. It appears the WKU coaching staff felt like they needed to shore up the defense as 7 of the 11 commits are to defense. 2. Washington State (27 overall) Washington State Cougars are sitting at the #1 team in the country, as a result they are enjoying a top 30 recruiting season. With 12 commits, 1- 4* star, 9- 3* star, 1- 2* star, and 1- 1* star, the Cougars sit at 27th ranked class. Their class led by 4* star ATH N. Turner 5'11 185 lbs and 3* star Guard I. Smith 6'7 311 lbs. The Wazzu coaching staff shored up the defense and offensive line with 8 of the 12 commits playing either position. 3. Eastern Michigan (35 overall) Eastern Michigan has a 5-5 record but that hasn't stopped their recruiting. The Eagles sit at the 35th ranked class in the country. They have a total of 17 commits, a huge class by most standards. The class has 7- 3* star, 8- 2* star, and 2- 1* star commits. The Eagles class is led by Center K. Gilliam 6'2 299 and DE T. Callahan 6'3 247. EMU looks to have upgraded many spots on the roster with this large class. 4. UAB (41 overall) The UAB Dragons are sitting at 5-4 on the year, but 4-1 in C-USA play. The Dragons are enjoying a top 50 recruiting class with 10 commits so far. The class is headlined by 4* star WR C. Burton, 6'1 181 lbs and 3* star ATH R. Banks, 6'6 232 lbs. The Dragons signed quality players at the WR position, SS, and OL play. In the passing scheme of UAB, expect big time WR's to commit quite often. 5. New Mexico (51 overall) The Lobos are enjoying a great season with a 7-2 record and 5-0 in conference. The recruiting doesn't exactly reflect the success with the Lobo's barely missing out on a top 50 class. With 13 commits, UNM has the ability to move up in the rankings with big time commit or 2. The class is led by 3* star Center C. Ashley, 6'2 331lbs and 3* star Guard W. Gutierrez 6'4 275lbs. The top 5 commits for the Lobo's all belong to the OL. 6. FIU (89 overall) The Golden Panthers are 6-3 on the season and have the 89th ranked recruiting class. The group is led by 4* star ATH A. Smith, 6'1 224 lbs. It would appear the FIU coaching staff is catching the first train out of town next season. 7. Western Michigan (92 overall) The WMU Broncos are sitting at 5-5, 4-2 in conference play. They have a total of 8 commits and sit at #92 overall. The class is led by 3 star Center V. Woods, 6'5 284 lbs and WR, R. Jackson 6'2 203 lbs. Plenty of room for the WMU staff to bring a few more players on board and bump up the class. 8. ULL (99 overall) The Ragin Cajuns are having a great year at 7-2 and undefeated in conference play. The lack of recruiting shows that this staff will be on the first bus out of town when offered. The class is led by 5 star ATH T. Brown 6'5 234 lbs. 9. Buffalo (105 overall) The Bills are enjoying a decent season with a 5-4 record and 4-1 in league play. Buffalo has 7 commits so far. The class is headlined by 3 star QB, A. Hancock 6'2 205 lbs. When asked what planet Hancock was from, he declined comment. Be afraid college football.......be afraid. 10. FAU (110 overall) FAU is enjoying a great season by any standards but more importantly theirs. The Owls are 7-2 overall. The recruiting leaves something to be desired though. The Owls only have 4 commits this season. One would think this is another staff that is plannin on flying the coop with better offer. The group is led by 4 star ATH, D. Macklin 6'1 218 lbs. 11. Army (118 overall) The Black Knights are 5-4 on the season with several close losses. With only 4 commits, the class is low in the rankings. 3 of the 4 commits are very good looking players though. Center, F. Carrington 6'3 280 lbs. OLB, A. Gardner 6'5 236 lbs, and QB, D. Johnson 6'5 239 lbs. Lots of room left for this class to fill up before national signing day. 12. San Jose St (126 overall) Undefeated on the year.............worst recruiting effort in mankind. The Spartans better hope another program comes calling because this is a make or break effort by Coach Legend to get the hell out of Dodge. The Spartans have signed 1 player.......I believe he is a .5 star WaterBoy from somewhere down in Louisiana.
