"Coach Hova returns to coach the Huskers another year after finishing a perfect season last year with a Fiesta Bowl Victory. The Husker return in 2013 with huge hopes being ranked #3 in the nation in the Preseason polls. They return a stout A+ Defense, but have many questions to be answered on Offense."

"Freshman phenom SS Lawrence steps in front of the pass returning it for a TD, his 2nd pick of the day."

"The Huskers stormed into TCU for a season opener and dominated. QB R. Alford has a great day for his first start at Nebraska. He went 15 for 17, 333 yards and 4 TDs along with player of the game honors. Alford was able to find the deep threat all day connecting on multiple 20+ YD passes. HB J. Burton also saw alot of work this game going for 170 yards on 27 ATTs. SS Lawrence has a HUGE freshman opener going for 10 tackles, and 2 INTs along with a pick 6. This kid is already the leader of the defense and looks to have a dominant season. The Huskers go on a BYE before welcoming the defending national champion into Memorial Stadium. Possibly the biggest game of Coach Hova's career, he knows his guys will have to be on their A game to have a shot at taking down the mighty Penn St."
