Cubs team starting the year was downright garbage and their record showed that. Well after some deals their team has gotten a ton better but they are close to being out of the race. The main question is can the Cubs get to .500 at least this year. They are Currently 41-56 15 games out of .500 and have made some big changes in hopes it will turn around.

    Starting lineup first of year
    1)Campana (LF)
    2)Barney (2B)
    3)Jackson (CF)
    4)Rizzo (1B)
    5)Stewart (3B)
    6)Arencibia (C)
    7)Seath (RF)
    8)Cardenas (SS)

    Rotation
    1)Lohse
    2)Samardzija
    3)Russel
    4)Volstad
    5)McGowan

    New Lineup
    1) Brett Jackson(CF)
    2) Ben Zobrist (2B)
    3) Anthony Rizzo (1B)
    4) Andy Seath (RF)
    5) Chris McConnell (SS)
    6) Mike Napoli (C)
    7) Adrian Cardenas (3B)
    8) Carlos Gomez (LF)

    Rotation
    1) Kevin Millwood
    2) Chris Volstad
    3) Chris Capuano
    4) Mike Minor
    5) Doug Fister

Cubs Also claimed Koji Uehara off waivers to add to the bullpen. Not positive this will improve record but the team has gotten stronger and the Cub never gave up their #1 prospect during all the trades

After this last sum GM had a closed door meeting; with the players telling them they r all playing for jobs next season and will moved next season. He has given up on this season and told the press Brett Jackson will be on the block for sure this off season and has given up 100% on him
