2013 Florida Gators preview and depth chart 2013 Florida Gators The florida Gators are coming of a noting short of awful, 5-7 season. Urban Myer got the boot and they brought in coach TeXasfight. He will be running a balanced offensive scheme, and a 4-3 on the defensive side. The new coaches main goal in his first year is to come in establish the offense and get after those recruits, he believes if he can do those things the Gator teams in the future will be destined for greatness. I Offense: The gator offense comes into the 2013 season with many question marks. The first one being at QB, Coach has announced three way battle for the job between freshmen Brandon Summers, and the two sophomores Joe Black, and Victor Roberts. The gators has a good group of receivers and this year it will be vital for the to get the ball in their hands, they also want to establish a serious running game this year behind that young talented offensive line.f they gators are gonna make a run they will have to get the ball to their receivers in the open field, look for screens and a quick passing game to open things up this year. TE Gerald christian will be a big time receiver this year, they will look to get him the ball across the middle and down in the redzone. Defense: Senior linebacker and senior left end look to lead this defense in the 2013 season. The gators have a great defensive line, maybe the best in the SEC. The linebacking core is going to be key for this team, if Jelani Jenkins can play as good as he did 2 years ago when he won linebacker of the year watch out for this Gator defense. Florida comes in with a veteran secondary, it will be near impossible to break big pass plays against these guys. This defense is the heart and soul of the team this year. Florida will look to run ALOT of blitzes with Jelani Jenkins and the rest of the backers, the staff feels their secondary is talented engh to take most wide outs one on one.
