    Noles roll Tide, 48-3

The Florida State Seminoles kicked off the 2013 season by welcoming #25 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide to town. Alabama took the opening kick off and marched down the FSU 1 yard line. A false start penalty moved the Tide back and they had to settle for a field goal. That was the last points the Tide would score.

The Seminoles answered with a field goal of there own and then reeled of a 35 point 2nd quarter to put the game away by half time. Lonnie Pryor had 3 rushing TD's in the 2nd quarter alone. A pick six to end the half really deflated the Alabama team, heading into half time down big.

The Noles travel to Boston College next week before a big showdown at home with Virginia Tech.

#5 Seminoles Continue To Roll, Crush BC 59-3

The Florida State Seminoles marched up and down the field Saturday in Boston, destroying an overmatched Eagles team 59-3. Florida State outgained Boston College 463 yards to 186. Lonnie Pryor continued his stellar senior season, rushing for 2 TD’s and catching a TD pass as well, all in the first half. The starters played only one series in the 2nd half, allowing the 2nd teamers some valuable playing time.

Next week brings the Hokies of Virginia Tech to town in a key ACC matchup.

Pryor and the D lead Florida State to vicory over Va Tech

The Florida State Seminoles beat the Virginia Tech Hokies 28-7 Saturday at the Doak in a key early season ACC game. The weather turned this game into a defensive struggle for the most part before Lonnie Pryor busted out in the 4th quarter. Pryor had 3 scores on the ground and one through the air, continuing his one man show. The defense knocked the Hokies around a bit, putting both the 1st and 2nd string QB's on the sideline early on.

Next week the Seminoles travel to Atlanta to take on Georgia Tech.

Noles continue winning ways, down Georgia Tech 38-14

The Florida State Seminoles entered week 5 as the #3 team in the nation and showed why they deserve that ranking. Despite losing All American Lonnie Pryor early in the 2nd quarter, the Seminoles easily handled the Yellow Jackets in Atlanta. Will Secord had his best day throwing this season, conecting on 14 of 18 passes for 2 scores. WR Rodney Smith caught 7 passes, 2 for TD's. Pryor still managed to put in 2 TD's of his own before leaving the game with back spasms.

Next week, the Seminoles travel to Winston-Salem to take on a very tough Demon Decan squad.

The Seminoles get their first commit of the 2013 season. Barnes, the 6 foot 219 pounder out of Huntsville Texas, decided this week to sign with the Noles. He is rated as the #2 HB (18th overall) on the board and should get some early playing time next season.
