Atlanta Falcons 2013 Free Agency Recap
Atlanta was able to fill a few needs. They get an upgrade have Halfback with Bernard Scott who has a 93 speed and 93 acc rating, and can catch out of the backfield. We still will look to find a gem at HB to groom, but for now, looks like he will the starter in 2013-2014.
Kevin Barnes was signed at CB as the 4th string DB behind 3 solid players. He can easily play himself into the 3rd Nickle spot if Asante Samuels continues to slide in production. Falcons will need to add to 1-2 more Corners via draft or fee agents.
Trent Edwards was signed for depth. He is the #2 behind Matty Ice. No chance in hell that he will get any 1st team snaps.
William Moore was signed at SS. He will take over the vacant spot as starter. He has solid ratings across the board in key areas for his position. Most exciting is the intangible, High Motor trait. Hopefully he helps out this secondary who was torched damn near every game.
Finally, The Falcons signed Doug Legursky, Veteran C of 5 years from Marshall. Doug is more of a bandaid at C than a true fix. Still, he is an upgrade over Joe Hawley. He will need play big this year to help the non existent running game come to fruition.

Coach CT was unable to get Mike Wallace to come to the ATL, he would have fit in great, good luck to him out in NY. He joins Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks, hell of a trio.
With Draft approaching in a few days, CT has a better idea of who he needs. MLB are TE are priority. Need two starters. Will also be looking for a HB, DT, LOLB, LT, RG, and possible a Kicker...
CT acquired the rights to the Broncos 2013 2nd and 4th round picks. He is looking to trade his 2nd/#7 and 2nd/#11 for a 1st and a 3rd.

New York Giants Free Agency Recap
    Offensive Line
The Giants were able to add a few new faces to their already talented roster already this offseason. New York lost some offensive lineman, but were able to sign Jeff Otah and Mike Pollak to fill in those spots on the line.
2320.png Jeff Otah: Former panthers right tackle brings his talents to New York.
2427.png Mike Pollak: After playing right gaurd for Peyton Manning, Pollak will be protecting Eli Manning.
    Quarterback
The Giants needed to add a solid quarterback to back up Eli. They add Dennis Dixon to learn and progress throughout the year.
964.png Dennis Dixon: After spending a short time in free agency the Giants sign this quartback
    Tightend
With Marcellus Bennet leaving the Giants needed to beef up their roster in this spot, but Ben Watson should help the Giants do just that.
3120.png Ben Watson: Ben Watson brings youth as well as talent to the Tightend position. Hopefully he can hold onto the ball unlike former Giant's tightend.
    Wide Reciever
The Giants already have possibly the best recieving core in the NFL, but that recieving core just got better. Arguably the fastest reciever in the league has just signed with New York.
3082.png Mike Wallace: After a successful start to a career in Pittsburgh. The speedster brings his talents to New York. He will fit in very well with Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks.

The New York Jets are having quite the off-season under 1st year coach A. Hiciano. After losing in th playoffs, the Jets took another big hit in the re-signing period, losing key players: ROLB Aaron Maybin, LOLB Bryan Thomas, FS LaRon Landry, RT Austin Howard, RE Mike Devito, and HB Shonn Greene among 10 others. New York only had 31 players on their roster after last season. Armed with $20M in cap space and plenty of holes to fill Coach Hiciano went to work. The first thing he did was cut the personnel still on the roster that wouldn't fit with the team's game plan going forward. This included trading away All-Pro QB Mark Sanchez, backup HB Powell, and MLB Bart Scott. After this he went to work on the FA market, signing 10 players in the 3 weeks of FA bidding.

    4YR / $9.6M / $400K Bonus -- 4YR / $3.8M / $200K Bonus
To replace Shonn Greene, we brought in HB LeGarrette Blount who has great size and power, which will fit the Power Run scheme perfectly. Young HB Anthony Allen, adds ball security and is a great 3rd down back who will be used with Joe McKnight as a "change of pace" runner to add another dimension to the running game.

    fa2.png
    4YR / $9.8M / $1.0M Bonus -- 2YR / $2.2M / No Bonus
New York had an infamously bad WR corps last season. So to give WR Santonio Holmes some help, we brought WR Braylon Edwards in, a great deep threat who has experience with the team. TE Travis Beckum will backup Dustin Keller at TE. We plan on using multiple 2-3 TE sets frequently, so dpeth at this position is a must.

    fa3.png
    4YR / $17.6M / $4.0M Bonus
To replace Mike Devito on the D-Line we signed RE Luis Castillo, who has great penetration ability and can always make an impact on defense. Paired with Pouha, Wilkerson, and Coples this could form arguably the most well-rounded 3-4 D-Line in the NFL.

    fa4.png
    3YR / $4.38M / $180K Bonus -- 4YR / $4.56M / $160K Bonus -- 4YR / $6.12M / $990K Bonus
The back-bone of the Jets defense last year was the Linebackers. So after losing key players at that position, the Jets needed to find some key players to replace them. The Jets added veteran MLB Larry Foote, who will add experience and toughness. Young MLB Jovan Belcher will be the future of this position along side young stud DeMario Davis, they both have excellent speed and tackling, and will be great for years to come. LOLB Brad Jones is a solid starter at a thin position around the league, we expect good things from him this year as well. Speed was our main concern here, as we need LB's who can keep up with the quick TE's out in New England.

    fa5.png
    1YR / $750K / No Bonus

The Jets need two things out of their cornerback's: Man Coverage ability and solid tackling. Phillip Adams is excellent at both of those traits. Coming in at a highly under-valued rate, we expect him to be this team's break out star this season. Hopefully he will get his fair amount of looks this season as he joins the most talented secondary in the league.

Overall, we are pleased with the signings we made this off-season and look to add 2 more FA's before the season begins. In the draft we will fill needs at OL, LOLB, and the Safety position.

But Looking at your team salaries page, money might be tight in NY in the near future.

The Packers snatched up RB Felix Jones out of Free Agency to give themselves some much needed help out of the backfield.

The Texans made a splash by signing veteran FS Laron Landry. There were multiple teams interested in Landry who is known for making plays in the secondary. This fills one of the gaps that Coach Thomas was looking to fill on their defense. The Texans will now look to add more depth to the defense and O line

Hardest hitting FS in the league.. but watch out, at times he does more damage to himself than the opponent.

    St. Louis Rams FA Recap
The Rams signed Kellen Moore to backup Sam Bradford and John Hekker back to handle the punting duties. Jeremy Beal was brought in to backup at DE. Donald Jones was added at WR to provide depth at a position that the Rams MUST make a splash at this off-season. The two biggest signings in the eyes of Coach VanGiesen was Peyton Hillis at RB and Andre Smith at RT. Peyton Hillis will backup Steven Jackson, but will get a nice share of carries as the Rams will continue to pound the rock. Andre Smith will be a nice upgrade at RT and should fit in nicely in the smash mouth style of football the Rams play.
    Biggest needs: WR, OLB, FS

    The Browns signed:

    HB Tim Hightower
    WR Devery Henderson
    TE Kellen Winslow Jr.
    LE Matt Roth
    RE Jyles Tucker
    DT Corey Williams
    CB Shawntae Spencer

The Free Agent signings help shore up some positions that I feel will add depth and much needed talent at certain positions. Hopefully with the draft we can add a few solid playmakers that can put this team over the top.
