2013 Week 10 Game of the Week
    UCLA ( MoonBBad )
    at
    #13 Colorado ( uncleho )
In this week's game of the week, the struggling UCLA Bruins travel to Colorado to take on the #13 Buffalos. After starting the season off 3-0, the Bruins come into this game on a five game losing streak. Colorado enters the game 6-2, but both of their loses have come against top ten teams. More importantly for the Buffalos, they are undefeated in the Pac-12 and in the hunt for a Rose Bowl berth. Colorado hopes to rebound from a close loss last week against the second ranked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. UCLA will be without two HB's due to injury, senior Malcolm Jones and junior Jordan James. The Buffalos will also be without a key HB, as Tony Jones will miss the game with a dislocated elbow.
Down to their third string HB, the Bruins will have to rely on sophmore QB Brett Hundley to move the ball offensively. Despite the losing streak, Hundley has played well this season throwing for almost 2,000 yards, 20 TD's and only 7 interceptions. His favorite target has been WR Shaquelle Evans who leads the team in receptions. Evans has break away speed, and can turn a quick slant or out into 6 quickly. WR Jerry Rice is another key target for Hundley. Rice has a knack for getting open against any coverage, and needs to help the Bruins move the chains on offense. The running game will fall on the shoulders of senior Dalton Hilliard. Hillard has decent speed and size, but is fumble prone. It will be important for the Bruins to not turn the ball over against the Buffalos. On defense, UCLA is led by junior FS Tevin McDonald. McDonald leads the team in tackles and covers a lot of ground when the balls in the air. The Bruins will need to force Colorado to commit a few turnovers in order to take some of the pressure off of their offense.
Colorado comes into this game led by senior QB Nick Hirschman. Hirschman has thrown for almost 2,400 yards, 23 TD's, and only 7 picks. Hirschman has been in sink all season with senior WR Paul Richardson. Richardson leads the team in receptions, yardage, and TD's. His 20.7 yards a reception average is one of the tops in the nation. Without HB Tony Jones, the Buffalo will look to senior Josh Ford to move the ball on the ground. Ford has quick feet and cuts on a dime, but is also a tough man to tackle despite his small frame. The key players for the Colorado defense will be CB's Greg Henderson and Josh Moten. With the injuries to their HB's, UCLA will have to rely on the pass more. It will be up to these two men to ensure the Bruins do not move the ball effectively.
This game is set up perfectly for the Bruins to pull the upset. Colorado is coming off a heart wrenching loss against Georgia Tech. After getting up for a game against the second ranked team in the nation, it will be hard for the Buffalos to get excited about a team on a five game losing streak. Unfortunately for UCLA, injuries to their top two HB's will play a big factor in the game. The Bruins hang tough, but in the end Colorado pulls it out.
    Prediction: Colorado-31 UCLA-27

I said I was too busy to handle the demands of two OD's not one. Thanks for checking up on me though. Even if it is a bit stalkerish. If you covered my receivers as tight as you cover my forum posts you might have won the title game;)

Just busting balls, but please don't flatter yourself. I was in Legacy last year so I check it out occasionally to see what's new.

2013 Week 11 Game of the Week
#3 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets ( RyanC )
    at
    #10 Maryland Terrapins ( HovaTheGodMC )
In this week's featured game, the third ranked, undefeated Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets visit the tenth ranked Maryland Terrapins. While this game has national implications, the more immediate concern for both teams is this game will more than likely decide the ACC Atlantic division. Both teams come into this game undefeated in the ACC. The good news for both teams and the rest of the nation is both teams come into this game at full strength, so injuries cannot be an excuse for either team.

The Yellow Jackets come into this game led by junior QB Synjyn Davis. Davis has run the option to perfection this season amassing almost 1,000 yards rushing, over 1,000 yards passing, and 25 total TD's. Maryland will have their hands full trying to slow this offense down. Davis has spread the ball around in the passing game, with most of the balls going to his two big wide-outs 6'4" Jeff Greene and 6'5" Darren Walker. This size could cause a problem for the smaller Maryland DB's who are giving up four to five inches. When Davis isn't throwing or running the ball himself, HB Tony Zenon is the man with the rock. Zenon has over 1,000 yards rushing and 13 TD's on the season. The Terps will have to decide if they want to force the Yellow Jackets to beat them passing or running, because if Tech can do both effectively it will be a long day for the Terps. While the Terps have several Georgia Tech offensive players to worry about, their concern on defense is focused solely on MLB Quayshawn Nealy. Nealy leads Tech in tackles, tackles for losses, and sacks. Maryland must keep Nealy out of the backfield and off of their QB.

For Maryland, the key to their success is HB Justus Pickett. Pickett has over 200 carries 1,000 yards, and 14 TD's. Pickett needs to have a big game in order to slow the Yellow Jacket's pass rush down, and set up big plays in the play action pass game. QB CJ Brown will need to take care of the ball in order for Maryland to pull off the upset. Brown has almost 2,500 yards passing and 13 TD's, but his 15 interceptions have been a problem. In the Terps two losses, Brown has thrown 6 of his 15 picks. Brown cannot afford to give Tech a short field with careless throws. Brown will need big plays from his receiving core, and no one can do that better than WR Stefon Diggs. Diggs leads the team in all receiving categories and has break away speed. Diggs has also been a threat in the return game, and his ability to give Maryland good field position could play a role in this game. On defense, the Terps under the biggest microscope will be LE Isaiah Ross and RE Keith Bowers. These guys will have to contain the edges in order to slow Tech's option attack down. Maryland will also need to force turnovers. The Yellow Jackets have done a great job not turning the ball over all season, but the Terps will need a few to pull this game out.

Georgia Tech's offense has been a juggernaut all season long scoring at least 34 points in every game. Maryland has the home field advantage, but that may be the only advantage they have. QB CJ Brown has looked terrible in big games, but has a chance to redeem himself this week. I don't think he does.
Prediction: Georgia Tech- 38 Maryland- 24

2013 Week 12 Game of the Week
    #19 Colorado ( uncleho )
    at
    #13 Arizona St ( abolishthefed )
In this week's featured game, the #19 Colorado Buffalos travel to Tempe to take on #13 Arizona St Sun Devils. This game will likely do little to decide the Pac 12 title game, and is more for bragging rights and recruiting ammunition. Washington has already clinched the Pac 12 North division, so ASU is playing for an outside chance at an at large BCS bowl berth. For the Buffalos, their division winner will likely come down to next week's showdown with the Utah Utes regardless of the outcome of this game. On the injury front, Colorado is still without the services of starting HB Tony Jones. The Sun Devils will also be a without their best HB as Kyle Middlebrooks will be unavailable.
Despite an impressive offensive showing last week against Cal, Colorado enters this game with question marks surrounding their offense after their abysmal showing against UCLA two weeks ago. Although the Bruins came in losers of five straight games, they kept the Buffalos out of the end zone until late in the fourth quarter on their way to the upset. QB Nick Hirschman struggled going 11-23 on the game, and UCLA ran over the Buff's defense for over 200 yards rushing. Hirschman will have to play much better if the Buffalo hope to leave Tempe with a win. Colorado has to find a way to get the ball in the hands of WR Paul Richardson. Richardson is a threat to score every time he touches the ball, and is a big weapon as a punt returner. HB Josh Ford is playing a big role with the injury to Tony Jones. If Ford can control the clock and move the chains, this could go a long way in pulling off the upset. Defensively, the game will come down to Colorado's ability or inability to stop the run. A key to this will be true freshman MLB John Sanders. Sanders must fill the hole and not allow ASU's HB's to get into the secondary.
The Sun Devils come into this game winners of three straight games. ASU has an explosive offense led by QB Mike Bercovici. Bercovici has thrown for almost 2,500 yards, 26 TD's, and only 14 interceptions. His two favorite targets are WR's Kevin Ozier and Jarrid Bryant. While Ozier leads the team in receptions, there's no question Bryant is Bercovici's favorite target in the red zone. At 6'5", Bryant's size has helped him catch a team leading 12 TD's. With ASU without their starting HB as well, the running duties will fall to RS freshman DJ Foster. Although inexperienced, Foster has more break away speed than Middlebrooks. He also has good hands for a HB, so ASU may look to incorporate him in the passing game. On defense, the Sun Devils leader is senior MLB Brandon Johnson. Johnson leads the team in tackles and tackles for loss, and has also added a couple of sacks, interceptions, and a fumble return for a TD to his resume. ASU will look to stuff the running game and make the Buffalos one dimensional.
Arizona St comes into this game riding the momentum of a three game winning streak and home field advantage. Colorado comes into this game with the doubts raised by their loss to UCLA still fresh in their minds. It doesn't help that the team they struggled to score against gave up 40 points to this week's opponent the following week. The Sun Devils come away with the victory and continue to make their push for an at large BCS bowl bid.
    prediction: ASU- 27 Colorado-13

2013 Week 13 Game of the Week
    #5 Georgia ( CPU )
    at
    #9 Georgia Tech ( RyanC )
In this week's featured game, a yearly in-state rivalry turns into a meeting between top ten teams as the Georgia Bulldogs travel to Atlanta to take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. While the Bulldogs have clinched a spot in the SEC Championship game, the Yellow Jackets lone loss this season will cost them a shot at an ACC title. However, a win against Georgia can solidify Georgia Tech's claim at an at large BCS berth. On top of the top ten team battle, this game is also a head to head battle between two Heisman canidates in HB's Tony Zenon and Keith Marshall. Marshall has the edge, with many voters, but a big game by Zenon this week can change all that. The Yellow Jackets come into this game healthy, but Georgia may be without two starters on their offensive line.
Georgia is led by QB Aaron Murray. Murray is one of the best QB's in the nation, and it is his ability to throw the ball deep that has opened up so much running room for HB Keith Marshall. Murray has thrown for 15 TD's and only 3 interceptions on the season. His favorite target this season has been WR Malcolm Mitchell. Mitchell leads the team in all receiving categories, and should be able to have some one on one matchups with the GT corners if Tech has their mind set on stopping Marshall. HB Keith Marshall has been outstanding this season. He has run for over 1,500 yards and scored 20 TD's on the season. The Bulldogs will look to feed him a steady dose of the rock and keep GT's offense off the field. The player to watch on defense for Georgia is CB Damien Swann. Swann is one of the nation's leaders in interceptions with 8. Although Tech relys mainly on the run, if Swann gets his chance at an erant pass he could take it the other way for 6.
Georgia Tech is led by their do it all QB Synjyn Days. Days has over 1,100 yards passing and is closing in on 1,000 yards rushing and has scored 25 TD's. Days one achilles heel, if he has one, has been turnovers as he has 9 on the season. Despite Days spectacular play, HB Tony Zenon has been getting the bulk of the Heisman talk for the Yellow Jackets. Zenon has over 1,000 yards rushing and 13 TD's on the season. A key decision by Georgia Tech could be if they decide to go at CB Damien Swann with their top WR Jeff Greene. Greene has been their best receiver all season, but Swann has proven it can be dangerous to test him. On defense, GT MLB Quayshawn Nealy will look to add to his 13 sacks on the season and disrupt the Georgia offense. However, Nealy and the Yellow Jackets have to be make sure they stay disciplined and do not give Marshall huge running lanes on their way to the QB.
While the talk leading up to this game has been the battle between two Heisman candidate HB's, in the end GT QB Synjyn Days will prove why he should be the talk of this game. Days will go over 1,000 rushing for the season, and Tech will go on to victory.
    Prediction: Georgia Tech-38 Georgia- 27

Yeah, I usually like to wait until an advance to write these because of the change in stats/rankings, but with all the games being against the CPU I figured they might be played before I get a chance.

    2013 BCS National Championship Game
    #2 Maryland ( HovaTheGodMC )
    vs
    #1 Washington ( Wick36 )
In this week's featured game, we have the final battle of the season for the ultimate prize. The top ranked, and undefeated Washington Huskies take on the second ranked Maryland Terrapins. While the Huskies have been favored to win the title all year, the Terrapins road has been rocky. Maryland dropped two of their first four games, but since then have turned things around and enter the title game on a nine game winning streak. Both teams enter this game without any injuries, so we will see the best they have to offer.
Maryland will look to attack the Huskies defense on the ground with HB Justus Pickett. Pickett rushed for 1,372 yards and 16 TD's on the season. Pickett missed the ACC Championship game, and is anxious to get back on the field and help his team win a title. Pickett will need to be effective in order to keep Washington's explosive offense off the field and the pass rush off of Maryland QB CJ Brown. Brown had a very productive season throwing for over 3,500 yards, 24 TD's and 17 interceptions. The biggest threat in the Maryland passing game is WR Stefon Diggs. Diggs led the Terrapins with 56 catches, 1,323 yards, and 13 TD's. Despite the impressive numbers, Diggs has had a problem with drops this season. On defense, Maryland is led by MLB LA Goree. Goree led the team in tackles and tackles for losses. Goree will have to play a big role in pass coverage as Washington likes to pass the ball and looks to the TE to control the middle of the field.
Washington comes into this game led by one of the best QB's in the nation, senior Keith Price. Price's strong arm and pin-point accuracy helped him throw for 2,982 yards, 27 TD's, and 14 interceptions. Price has a stable of receivers to throw to and likes to spread the ball around. His favorite target is WR Kasen Williams. Williams led the team with 60 receptions, 1082 yards, and 12 TD's. Like Maryland's featured receiver, dropped passes have also been a problem for Williams as well. With two great teams battling it out for the title, neither team can afford miss out on big play opprotunities. The Huskies rushing attack is led by HB Jesse Callier. Callier just missed the 1,000 yard mark and finished with 8 TD's as well. The Hukies defense is led by DE Josh Shirley. Shirley was in the opposing backfield almost as much as the opposing QB's as he set an NCAA record with 33 sacks on the season. Maryland's chances at winning this game lie soley in their ability to keep Shirley out of the backfield, which no team has been able to do yet.
The National Championship comes down to a battle between a team that ran through everyone on their schedule and a team that ran through everyone in the ACC. Washington has one of the best offenses in the nation and DE Josh Shirley is the most disruptive force in NCAA history. How do you game plan for an unstoppable force? I don't think Maryland knows either.
    Predection: Washington-38 Maryland-24

I've played poorly recently so you'll be fine unless I practice a lot or something changes.
