Your right about some of it. This wasn't a one game thing. I've been playing this game and doing sliders for it since it first came out. I even got the early release. I like a lot about the game but, I really had to adjust sliders to try to cut back on Robo QB and CPU cheating. That's one of the reasons I've just played madden for a while. Using AA defense is a good fix. It makes the CPU offense more bearable without making user offense too easy.

I probably made a rash decision. I mean freakin Mettenburger had 5 carries for 135 yards in the second quarter. He was literally just running over my players. I'm all for challenge I just get infuriated when the CPU plays like Super Man.

I'll really try and stick it out. Just send me a new invite.

I hear you and in principle I agree with you, I really do. I just don't know that it can be done with 12 people of different skill sets. If I can be straight with you, it's patty-cake for me and one or two others now, yet unplayable and seemingly unbeatable to others. When we have a different member threatening to quit every week something's gotta be addressed. I already don't care that much about CPU games. I don't get excited for them and I kinda just try to get them outta the way. But you know what: I LOVE playing user games. It keeps me going. It's why I'm here. I'll go head to head with anyone else as long as there's someone else who's willing to play me. I'm all for helping those guys out. It's not in self-interest because if anything it hurts the guys who can beat the CPU as-is. If all of is were beating the CPU, my UVA team certainly wouldn't be #1 right now. Notre dame would be. But we'd play each other at the end of the day anyway and one of us would have a loss and it would all even out to essentially the same at the end of the day, except for we wouldn't have people threatening to quit every week.

I agree changes need to be made to them, but at this point we're so close to the end of the season we may as well just keep the same set until the off-season. Wouldn't make sense to have a different set for like 3 weeks. Plus, nobody has done testing to figure out what changes need to be made.

Yea man I agree. I will really do better about being a part of the solution. I'll do some testing.

One thing to remember is to not change the user side too much because that's all that's used in user v user games.

Joined the league. Played my game. Didn't quit in the second quarter this time. Lost 31-28 on a TD pass with 0 time on the clock where my CPU MLB didn't cover his man for some reason and left him wide open. Lol didn't get any XP so looks like the XP glitch got me. SMH guess that's what I get for quitting. :(

LSU drove me nuts too, man. In all reality, they are damn good, if the CPU has to take liberties to win a game they would in real life, I am learning to say "so be it". Would aTm and Arkansas lose to LSU in real life? Yes! Like I said, I am learning to take this as it is. I almost hit the off button when they were up 38-14 and I threw another pick...but I thought better of it and thought how good the dudes are in this league and sucked it up. It's not easy, especially for people like me who are average at best at this game.

#8 Baylor Knocks Off Undefeated #2 Texas in Season Finale

The regular season ended with a bang for Baylor as they knocked off #2 undefeated Texas and most likely secured themselves a BCS at Large Berth. These two teams we're evenly matched. The box score mirrors that as every score was responded to in kind by the other team , but at the end of the day it came down to a few key plays. Whether it was a 53 yard FG at the end of halftime to give Baylor the lead headed into half with Texas getting the ball back. Or it was the huge 43 yard reception pictured above to set up the winning FG for Baylor or the 109 yard kick return by Lache Seastrunk once Texas tied the game up at 24.

It was clear what both teams wanted to do as both RBs showcased their talent and showed why they are two of the most feared offensive weapons in the game. The Texas RB finished with 199 yards while Lache finished with 128. These two teams showed no fear and left it all on the field. For Texas they have the Big-12 Title but a week 15 loss has dashed their hopes at bringing the National Title back to Austin. For Baylor they finish the regular season with 2 losses but a top 10 ranking and possible BCS Berth.

Good game MaxATX34 I probably had no business being in FG range to end it.

UVA wins a defensive struggle 17-16
The ACC championship which was essentially a semifinal this season truly lived up to its billing. Both defenses came to play today and both teams showed they would not back down when they had their backs to the wall. Both defenses held the opposing team to their season low in points and yards. UVA’s QB David Watford had his worst game of the season. He was extremely inaccurate and many of his completions were due to fantastic catches by his WR core. ND knew they could match up pressed in man to man on the UVA receivers and they gave UVA trouble on every snap, taking advantage of Watford’s rough day. ND came in with a plan and executed it. On the other hand, the UVA defense held their own as well. ND wanted to run the ball with their two star backs and they found some running room, but the story of the day was UVA’s redzone defense, holding ND to 3 FGs in the red zone.

The Cavaliers started the game by holding ND to a punt and then taking the ball right down the field for a score on their opening drive. Notre Dame showed that they were there for a fight as they had a drive of their own that consisted of shoving the ball down the throat of the UVA defense. Eventually they broke free with Folston for a huge 41 yard TD tiptoeing the sideline on a beautiful run. The next few possessions were slow for both teams, but UVA eventually scored with a mere 30 seconds on a quick throw to Tim Smith who slipped past his defender that was pressed down on him, bringing the halftime score to 14-7 UVA.

The second half was very much dominated by Notre Dame, although they struggled to finish their drives once in UVA territory. They were held to two field goals in a row, then the game got very interesting. With the score 14-10, and UVAs offense stalling out for the entire second half to that point, the cavaliers had the ball with a chance to put the game away. They finally managed to drive the ball down the field with a slow methodical drive. The Cavaliers got the ball down to the ND 15 yard line and looked like they were going to kill the game with a score. On a 3rd and 6, they offensive coordinator put the ball in Watford’s hands, and he made a huge mistake. Watford overthrew his WR and put the ball right in the outstretched arms of the ND safety, throwing his only interception and the only turnover on the day. Notre Dame would not waste this opportunity. With 1:30 left in the game, they tried three quick no-huddle plays and ended up losing 6 yards to bring themselves to a grim 4th and 16 with the game on the line. The fearless offensive coordinator for the Fighting Irish dialed up the unthinkable, throwing the ball deep to their speedy WR Daniels for a 54 yarder that immediately put them within kicking range. In one play Notre Dame flipped the odds and took control of the entire game. After three short runs and immediate timeouts, Notre Dame hit a FG to take a 2 point lead with 28 seconds left.

Despite playing poorly for 3 and ½ quarters, Watford was given one last chance. UVA lined up in their 5-wide no-huddle look and went to work. With quick passes to the sideline UVA was able to get to the ND 42 with 16 seconds left. After a ND timeout to rest their defense, UVA went to their sure-handed leader at WR Tim Smith. On a quick slant route that wasn’t even open, Watford’s inaccuracy helped the Cavs out as Smith adjusted and made a circus catch to put them in FG range with just enough time left to get the unit on the field and win the game on a 42 yarder by Ian Frye.

Great game IrishBearcat !!! That was a nail-biter to the end. I think both of our offenses didn't want to help us out. Honestly I can't remember seeing Watford ever play worse than he did in this one, and I know your line was missing blocks left and right too.

Georgia manages a good game in the bowl and played our best half of defensive football this season. The first half and it allowed us to salt the game away and play a bunch of guys.

We really hope we improve defensively next season. We were simply terrible against the pass this season.

Georgia hammers Iowa in the who cares bowl 59-21.

    UVA Wins National Championship 48-17
Virginia comes away with their first national championship as they take down #2 Louisville in style 48-17. The new coaching staff was rewarding with their change in system and change in attitude, and they will hopefully prove that UVA is here to be a national contender year in and year out. David Watford led the team with both his arm and his legs on the day, accounting for 400 total yards. He threw for a whopping 320 yards on 28 ATT and 4 TD as he earned player of the game honors. HB Kevin Parks had a modest day compared to his season numbers that earned him a second place finish in this year’s Heisman vote, but he did manage to crack the 100 yard mark and find the endzone once on the day.

Louisville’s QB Teddy Bridgewater showed that he was ready for the big stage early, driving his team down the field with ease on the opening drive, but as was the case in the ACC championship game the UVA defense held in the redzone and forced the Cardinals to settle for a field goal. UVA answered back quickly with a TD pass on a quick screen to their speedy WR Darius Jennings. Lousville’s next drive was almost identical to their first one. The big difference was that Bridgewater made a costly mistake throwing an interception in the endzone. This became the story of the day, as Louisville moved the ball with ease between the 20s, but redzone turnovers cost them many points with 3 INTs from Bridgewater. UVA ended the first half with 2 TDs and took a halftime lead of 28-10.

The second half consisted of a slower pace from the UVA team as they could feel the clock ticking down to their season-long dream of a national championship. QB Teddy Bridgewater was able to connect on a 14 yard TD in the third quarter and was Louisville’s last score of the day. The fourth quarter was dominated by UVA as they put up 14 points and the cherry on the top of their season.

POG: QB David Watford- 24/28 320 YDS 4 TDs 13 ATT 80 YDS rushing.

Austin, TX -- Revenge for the 2009 National Championship! Texas beats Bama 17-14 in BCS bowl to finish 12-1 on the season. It was close the whole game, but if Texas didnt pick off McCarron 4 times it could have been ugly for the Horns. Bama had two possessions late in the 4th quarter that they could have put the game away but they both ended with fortunate picks. Gg hornfaninbama

The Longhorns accomplished their #1 goal of winning the Big12 this season. Looking ahead, they set up nicely to make another run next season and are primed to sign a great new batch of recruits.

    UVA Tops FSU 55-14

    upload_2014-3-30_23-43-3.png
UVA showed up to play in this one. They started fast and kept going fast for the entire game. The defense put up an outstanding performance against the Air Raid attack of FSU led by Jameis Winston. Coach Powers after the game “Hey sometimes you don’t even have to do much as a coach, the guys were making plays all over the place regardless of where I put them.” Florida State had a rough start with interceptions on the first 4 drives of the game. By the end of the first quarter, the score was 35-0 UVA. The offensive star was once again B Back Kyle Dockins, who is really fitting into his new role nicely. He had 16 ATT for 161 and 2 TDs with the majority coming in that fast 35-0 start. FSU will look to rebound from this one and fine-tune their passing game to the new speed in the ACC, which is emerging as a premier conference the last few seasons.

Good Game recchem2000 that was just one of those games: my guys jumping every route, breaking tackles, just making abnormal plays. Good luck the rest of the way out man.

I ran into a buzz saw in this one. My pick frenzy continued but really the flex killed me. I really had no clue what to do in order to stop it most of the game. And you're a hell of a player on the sticks! Good luck to you the rest of the way!

Haha that's exactly why I use it. It's so different from other offenses it takes people out of their game. Good game man!
