2 signings for Miami in first 2 weeks of season.

Week 1: TE Terry Brown (#48 overall) :4stars:
Brown may be converted to fullback when he comes to Miami. He has decent speed (4.60) for either tight end or fullback. He also catches the ball well (C+) but needs to work on his blocking skills (C- Run and D+ Pass).

Week 2: HB Andrew Ellis (#10 overall) :5stars:
Ellis could start for Miami as a true freshman. With Darby graduating this spring the Hurricanes have little speed in the backfield. Ellis changes that, he is very fast (A- speed, A acceleration) and he does not fumble often (B carrying).

4 more signings for Hurricanes over the past few weeks

    :5stars: Jim Clayton ATH #2/OVR #28
    6'0 189 lbs. 4.40 40 yard dash
+ B+ Speed, Agility; B- Catch in traffic
    - D- Awareness, Play recognition, Strength
Coach comment: Will line up at WR for Canes, needs to work on some area but should develop into solid contributor

    :4stars: Taylor Williams OLB #3/OVR #36
    6'1 225 lbs 4.56 40-yard dash
    + B+ Block shedding; B Agility; B- Speed, Jumping
    - D- Catching; D Power moves; C- Finesse moves
Coach comment: Needs to work on his technique and coverage skills but he should be a solid contributor for Miami

    :4stars: Matt Mitchell WR #10/OVR #56
    5'9 172 lbs. 4.42 40-yard dash
+ B+ Speed, Spectacular catch, Agility
    - D- Awareness; C Catch, Catch in traffic
Coach comment: Does not have ideal size but neither do many good NFL players. Mitchell was a huge signing for Miami and he may crack the rotation in year one.

    :4stars: Eric Jones HB #12/OVR #115
    6'0 204 lbs. 4.30 40-yard dash
    + A Speed; B+ Acceleration; B Agility, Spin move
    - D- Awareness, Strength; D Ball carrier vision; C- Elusiveness
Coach comment: Miami was looking to get faster and got that in Jones. He is likely to see field next season as a reserve behind fellow freshman Andrew Ellis.

So far, so good for Miami in recruiting. We missed out on a few recruits but have solidified some positions (WR/HB/LB) and gotten a lot faster. If this group gets time to develop it could bring a championship or two to Miami. There is still some work to do (DT/DE) but the team is close to locking down a few other players.
