    Owners,

We are now in stage-4. This stage opens up scouting for a few more stages until the NFL Draft.

The New York Jets filled 2 immediate gaps after a single FA stage.

Was it confirmed that Meriweather is a glitch and should be off limits?

I dunno, the guy before me might have sent a bad offer. I say just let him go up for grabs, no big deal.

Wow so Brees hangs 'em up and leaves me hanging. Wish he would have said something before doing so. Now I have nothing to replace him and the draft... well let's just say I didn't scout any QBs'.

Anyone want to trade a QB for my first rounder? I have seriously lost all motivation to play this game after losing my best player to some f'ing retirement that EA thought would be fun. We have about one season left and I have to find a starting QB... Thanks EA for ruining a perfectly good team and for ruining a fun experience.

Shit happens man, he wasn't young (36) so perfectly reasonable that he'd retire at that age.

You aren't the only one, Tom Brady retired as well, im sure panthers didn't expect steve smith too as well.

It is not like you are stuck with McElroy, so it could be worse.

I feel for ya, man. If I had Brees at that age, you can bet I would have spent XP on a QB retirement package. If you didn't, shame on you! I personally like the way they've got it set up. People in real life don't always make rational decisions, and they don't always give their employer the courtesy of a heads up before quitting or retiring. Plenty of QBs on trade blocks; I'm confident that you'll find a replacement.

Charles Woodson has retired, as well as my RT Tony Pashos. I said this the other day, but I hate the way EA doesn't tell you about team transactions. You literally have to go through your roster each advance to see if someone retired. How difficult would it have been to include a League Transactions tab? I didn't buy Madden 12, but I'm pretty sure '11 and '10 and '09 etc all had that available.

And while I'm complaining, why does it go from stage 2 to stage 4? Where the hell is stage 3?

I wish Eli would retire. I thought about cutting him, he costs way too effing much.
