    Owners,

We are now in offseason week #2. This week kicks off the first of many rounds at Free Agent (FA) offers.

Was there a decision made regarding the glitch?

    Yes.

I wrote in the previous thread I needed assistance with tracking this since I do not have the time for manual work, then radio silence from the group. If we are to track, I need support, otherwise it is business as usual.

Gotcha well I have no dog in the fight so someone needs to step up! Looks like Aaron Hernandez already has an offer...

That is what makes it somewhat tough to police. I understand we are all adults here, but shit happens.

Some guys were not able to even offer some of their FAs contracts like San Diego could offer Aaron Hernandez at all, Minny couldn't give an offer to Romo. Stuff like that which at this point is explainable.

No, the glitch happens when you acquire a player in a trade that is on his last year of his previous contract. Both Romo and Hernandez were on the last year of their contract and the teams they were traded to didn't have a chance to negotiate with them in the off season.

If you took over for another owner during the season, odds are he made an offer for Freeman that was rejected. Sometimes, if the deal is not up to the players liking they won't give you an option to renegotiate with them. You can still land them in FA now if you still want him but you better give him what he is asking for!

I really dont like the logic behind the re-sign period. So i make an offer that the player doesn't like and then boom, he doesn't want to negotiate anymore. They need to enter a counter offer thingy because of all the people that rejected my offer which sometimes even exceeded the demand (shockey), it went unavailable.

Negotiations is a two way street with back and forth offers, not one time and you are done.

Yeah, they gotta save those bits and pieces so they can't tout them as new features!

Madden 14, or 25 whatever you want to call it.

Introducing innovation never seen before in Madden Football, QB Vision Zone! Your QB must see where he throws!! Cant wait for that.

    yay!!

This Madden 25 will be the last one on this console, so they better make it count.

Oh yeah, you can bet I will be picking up the Xbox 720 on day-1 !

If you remember history, the first madden with eddie george i think in 2001 for PS2 which everybody thought would be so awesome was pretty much a dud. They stripped everything. Then we get to the point of madden on the xbox/ps3 and the whole nfl draft commercial they did that got everybody excited and the game sucked.

madden 15 or whatever they want to call it, im guessing it will suffer the same fate and will have to wait a number of years to get the game to be "respectiable". Lets hope im wrong.

Im curious on what the jags will be doing, about 35 players on the roster, $6 million in cap space between resigns, FAs and Rookie.

I was thinking the same thing as I was cycling through all the teams.

I just logged off, how is Kansas City looking after all the commotion at the onset of last season?

I've been playing Madden since inception. So there, I've really dated myself. But yeah, agree with you. I just think the technology has come a long way and really think the hardware upgrade will really transform the series come day-1.
