    Mid-season Rookie Repot Card:

    Cale Welch - RG - 90 Overall - 1st Round Pick

Welch was out the first 3 games of the season, but since then has been everything we thought he was. 4 sacks allowed, 6 pancakes. Outside of the stats, he has made a major diffence in getting DTs pushed back off of the line of scrimmage. Stud.

    Anton Lee - WR - 71 Overall - 2nd Round Pick

Lee has not been on the field much up to this point. Coaches state that in practice and in limited duty he has shown strong hands and his wide frame make him a nice red zone target in development. Year to date: 7 rec, 112 yards.

    Tony Thompson - QB - 72 Overall - 4th Round Pick

As the third string QB, he has been holding a clipboard up to this point. Needs to work on arm strength.

Jameel Smith - DE - 75 Overall - Rookie FA

Smith has been very strong in practice as he waits for his opportunity to get on the field. Smith is behind established players at DE but looks to be a major contributor int he future.

    Draft Grade: C

Welch is the only player to crack the starting lineup. In time, this could be a productive class, but so far it looks like one future star and the rest being roster filler, but only time will tell.

    QB Robb Bell - 2,566 yards, 18TD/19INT

He has had a solid season yardage wise, but is still making rookie mistakes. However he has shown the ability to be a top notch NFL QB and will be a franchise quarterback for the Vikes

WR Ty Jennings - 56 rec, 600 yards, 2 TD

The surprise of the draft, Jennings has been a great compliment to Percy Harvin, Giving Bell a 6'3" target on the outside and putting up great numbers.

CBs Paris Cooper and Reggie Edwards

Cooper and Edwards both have an INT each and have provided depth to a terrible secondary

The rest are all roster filler, however I would give the draft a B grade based on Bell and Jennings alone

SS Jordan Sherrod (1st Rd) Sherrod has paid off and has been living up to the hype, has as many INTs as Ed Reed had last year with 5. Is second on the team in tackles with 36, and has recorded 1 sack. Currently the AFC Defensive Rookie of the Year front runner, and is on the Pro Bowl roster.

WR Rodney Parks (Undrafted FA) He has great speed and has good hands, just struggles to see playing time. But has managed 9 catches for 128 yards.

DT Jahmeek Orr (4th Rd) Orr is buried on the depth chart and sees some playing time on long down an distances situations.

    1st rd Wr Jaquante Wright

    59 rec 911 yrds 5 TD
Jaquante is having a solid year as our #2 WR leading the team in receptions. He is a big target and will look to be our #1 next year as Wayne only gets older.

    1st rd Bobby Krautman

Krautman has quickly become our best offensive lineman. He is very athletic and helps bulldoze open holes for the Colts Hbs.

    3rd rd RE Corey Thomas

Thomas shows a lot of promise, but is backup to Freeney/Mathis. He has seen limited action and has 3 tackles and 1 sack on the season.

    2nd rd HB Nathan Campbell

Campbell sees some special teams play and has had 2 rushes for 43 yards and 1 TD
