I'm not around until Friday night to play a user game, so I guess Shane will have to play the CPU. I thought I was getting a bye week one, or a CPU game at the very least.

Arkansas QB Brandon Mitchell had a great coming out party against Kentucky, throwing for over 300 yards and 5 TDs.

OSU takes care of SEC foe Auburn 49-29.

Braxton Miller lead the way throwing for 300 yds and 3 TDs and running for 60 yds. RB Carlos Hyde got on the board twice in the 3rd quarter, 1 on a 3 yd toss and another on a gorgeous 26 yarder where he broke a tackle to bust into the endzone. Frosh FB Jason Smith finished the OSU scoring with a 6 yd TD run on a triple option give. The OSU defense played fairly well, but allowed nearly 400 passing yards. With so many AA's on defense, it makes you wonder if they're actually that good. But, the D held when they needed to, not allowing points on multiple redzone visits by the Tigers.

OSU also picked up their first commit of the year in Kicker Anthony Fitch who fills a need. Just need 1 Olineman and the rest is candy.

Agree. #70 was tearing it up though with his speed.

Maybe tomorrows patch will fix this problem.

Stanford would not have to wait long to try to avenge the loss to Utah in the Pac 12 Championship. Week one these to teams were scheduled to play and Stanford has had this date marked on the calendar for a while. The Cardinal have a new starter at QB in freshman Eric Schultz and a new Pistol based offense nicknamed the "Love Gun." Utah would start with the ball and their new HB may even be better than White IV from last season. On the second to last play of the drive he went out with a pulled hamstring. Being the baller that he is, York was in on the first play of the next drive. That first drive would end with the Utes kicker Marsh making a 22 yard field goal. Anthony Wilkerson would really shine in the first drive as the offense moved down the field behind the run game. The drive was capped off with a one yard TD run by Wilkerson. Marsh would make another field goal in the first quarter.
The Cardinal defense would finally have a stand against the potent Utah offense and force a three and out to start the second. Cardinal kicker Williamson would show off the added power he obtained in the offseason by making a 40 yard field goal. Marsh would be back out on the field twice to connect on 36 and 44 yard field goals. Utah would take a 12-10 lead into the half.
After a failed drive to open the second half the Cardinal defense would get another three and out. Barry Sanders Jr would be brought in to mix up the running game but was inefficient for the most part. That was okay as Wilkerson was able to still pound the ball up the field and was able to collect his second TD of the game to give Stanford the 17-12 lead. The Utes would answer with a touchdown drive of their own that saw TE Sellers catch a three yard pass in the end zone. Utah would attempt a two point conversion but Wynn would get sacked after about five seconds in the pocket and when he moved out of it the defender was there.
Williamson was sent out to attempt another field goal and make it from 27 yards out to give Stanford the 20-18 lead. Williamson made two field goals this game and is only eight away from tying his total of 10 from last season. Usua Amanam would step up big time as Utah was marching down the field and looking like they would take the lead. Amanam jumped up and picked of the Wynn pass in the end zone. Wynn had nowhere near the game he had in the championship game. The Utes next drive would end when Terrence Brown stepping in front of the slant route for another interception for the Cardinal defense. Taking over on their own 49 yard line Stanford was able to move down the field with the run game forcing Utah to use all three time outs. Eric Schultz would score his first collegiate touchdown on a power option keeper from three yards out. Utah would convert a fourth and 18 from their own 19 yard line with a 67 yard completion. A little to late as two plays later the clock would run out. Stanford wins their season opener 27-18.
