WOOOO UPSET CITY BABY!!!!!!!!! 36-16
lol at whoever plays Texas in the NCG.
That would be Ohio State. Who will win for back to back titles.
Opening week flew by and we've already had an upset & a few user teams go down. In the Pac 12, Stanford got their much needed revenge over Utah 27-18, Oregon & Cal blasted their opponents and the biggest surprise of the opening week has to be USC falling to TCU. Everyone knows TCU is a talented team so it's not the fact TCU won, it's just weird to see USC fall this early in the season. After trailing in the double digits, the Trojans came fighting back and had a shot at victory or a chance to force overtime but a pick 6 ended all hopes and the Horned Frogs went on to win 61-52. In the SEC, Arkansas' schedule isn't favorable as they open up conference play the first two weeks. The Razorbacks destroyed Kentucky 52-14, Texas A&M's coach was unable to be no the sidelines and the assistants tried there best but fell to Michigan 37-21. Missouri hosted Clemson and held on late 34-31 while South Carolina & ECU opened the season for the 2nd time in 3 years, the Gamecocks sunk the Pirate ship 42-17. Elsewhere in the country, the B1G got off to a crazy start. Illinois continues to love those close games and held off a lowly Buffalo squad 27-23. Ohio State has had a rough history with SEC teams but they were rough with Auburn and beat the Tigers 49-29. Wisconsin didn't come out of the locker rooms until half and overcame a 31-7 deficit to North Carolina to win 55-34. There are some quality matchups in week 2 including the one going on in Eugene. There are two B1G/Pac-12 games this week. USC will host Illinois. I just don't see that one staying close with the talent on the offense for USC. Barkley is gone but they can still let it fly. Illinois is more of a low scoring keep it close style team and I'm pretty sure no one in the country believes the Illini can match point for point. Maybe they'll shock us ? How funny would a 0-2 start be for the Trojans. For Oregon, they know what is coming. Denard Robinson is gone...finally. However, Michigan has another speedy weapon as the replacement. QB Devin Gardner will now take the reins of the Wolverine offense. Gardner can beat you with his feet just like Robinson. He's not as ellusive and speedy but he can get the job done. The Ducks will have to prepare for that. Oregon's led again by QB Bryan Bennett who can also beat you with his feet. Bennett is a better passer but he will need to make the right decisions. He'll have the home crowd behind him along with a speedy duo in the backfield including DAT (DeAnthony Thomas) & Byron Marshall. This has the makings for a HELL of a game, if only one of these two schmucks would buy a streaming device. Oh man a lot of cheeses last week.
Cal rolls into Doak Campbell and pulls off 36-16 upset of #14 FSU Tallahassee, FL- After cruising to a easy victory in week one over Tulane the Cal Golden Bears went on the road for there first test of the season as they took on the #14 Florida State Seminoles. Cal was going to need to play a perfect game to have a shot at a upset win as the experts had picked the Seminoles to cruise to an easy victory but thats why they play the game. Cal won the toss and elected to start with the ball and the offense came out with a very consistent passing game as they moved the ball down the field but after a great drive to open the game it was capped off with a 33 yard field goal from Cole Leininger. Florida State's first drive did not go as well as the Cal defense forced a quick three and out. Cal's offense came out and picked up exactly where they left off on the first drive moving the ball at will and this time they were able to get into the endzone as Allan Bridgford found Keenan Allen for a 4 yard touchdown to put Cal up 10-0 and that was the score heading into the 2nd. Florida State's offense finally got it in gear and started marching all over the Cal defense as they tied the game on back to back drives as kicker Cody Cox kicked a 24 yard field goal and then after a Cal three and out Clint Trickett hooked up with Reshad Greene for a 7 yard touchdown. The Cal offense was resuscitated and put together a decent drive and Cole Leininger would kick a 23 yard field goal 13-10 Cal with 2:49 left in the half. Cody Cox and FSU answered with a field goal of there own from 33 yards out to tie the game at 13 with 1:27 left until half. Cal knew they had to muster some sort of points before the half as Florida State was getting the ball after half and it is exactly what they did as Bridgford and company got the ball down the field and then Brendan Bigelow punched it in from 2 yards out to take a 20-13 lead into the half. After the half the Florida State offense was forced to a quick three and out which was a huge stop for the Cal defense. Cal's offense came out knowing that a score on this drive would put a ton of pressure on the FSU offense. Cal was able to get the ball down the field and Bridgford found wideout Maurice Harris for a 4 yard touchdown to take a 27-13 lead halfway through the third. Florida State's offense answered the call as they quickly moved the ball down the field and Clint Trickett threw a touchdown pass to Willie Haulstead but wait there was a FLAG on the play Illegal Touching on Haulstead and on 3rd down Trickett threw an incompletion and the Seminoles were forced to kick another field goal to make it 27-16 to end the 3rd. The Cal offense had played rather well and Allan Bridgford had thrown two interceptions heading into the 4th but he was picked off to start the 4th but on the second play of the drive Clint Trickett went to make the pitch on the speed option but Cal corner Stefan McClure jumped in and picked off the pitch and took it 57 yards for the touchdown 34-16 Cal. Trickett threw a pick on the next drive but Bridgford and the Cal offense would go for the dagger and he thought he had Maurice Harris open in the corner but the safety jumped the route and picked it off but was forced out of the endzone and taken down at the one. Two plays later Cal sacked Trickett for a safety making it 36-16. After the punt Cal's offense began chewing the clock and the Cal defense did not give up an inch the rest of the game pulling off the 36-16 upset of the #14 team in the nation. Cal goes on a bye week for week 3 and there next game will be a PAC-12 conference game against Arizona State. I must suck..
Man, I still can't believe some of these passing numbers.. I mean, I can't get the ball downfield.
All of mine were the WR blowing past the CB and there being no coverage deep. Passing for me has been unrealistically easy, while running unrealistically hard.
I shouldn't say that. Now the sliders will be changed to make both of them unrealistically hard.
Make passing harder and turn down gd cpu break tackle!!!!!! Lol
I'm tired of writing the same old shit. Aggies get crushed again, this time by Florida. Blah blah blah, same shit over and over again. This sucks.
Los Angeles, CA: This game was a matchup of David vs Goliath and unfortunately for the Fighting Illini' the result was as expected. The Trojans dominated this game from start to finish and it was evident from the first 3 and out by Illinois that they were outmatched. On the day Illinois was held to 50 yards of offense. 50. "I don't know what got into our defense today," said Coach Rockwell. "But after the earful we gave them last week after giving up 60 points to unranked TCU some things had to change."
And change they did. The Trojans shuffled the depth chart around slightly before the game and the results were stellar. It didn't help that there was rain in Southern Cal, which slowed down an already suspect Illinois offense. The Trojan offense played fundamentally sound football. Protecting the ball and running the clock. The only blemish was 2 sacks given up by the line. The TOP favored USC heavily with a 20:11 edge. This was highlighted by the 2nd drive of the game which consumed nearly the entire 2nd quarter and was over 15 plays long.
Redshirt Junior HB DJ Morgan was the workhorse on the day. Keeping the ball on the ground for the majority of the day and for the first time since Coach Rockwell took over, had more rushing attempts than passing attempts. "We have been relying on the pass too much, " said the Trojans head coach. "If we want to keep our defense fresh, we have to win the time of possession battle. DJ was huge today and they struggled to tackle him all game."
Up next for the Trojans is a bye week and then a huge matchup against another B1G school in Wisconsin. Expect a large TV audience for this one. GG NDCOLTS1979 you struggled to get anything going and my defense really played well. Wish there was more to talk about but it was a pretty boring game. Good luck the rest of the season.
Player of the Game: DJ Morgan- 29 carries, 152 yards, 3 TD
Hopefully you are getting some decent players in there. The CPU is TOUGH this year. We have a loaded team and got crushed by CPU in week 1 so dont feel bad.
Not really, upper 60's, low 70's guys for the most part. It's only going to get worse.
What did you expect with a&m?
I expected to at least be competitive. I wanted a challenge, but this is just dumb.
OSU travels to Atlanta and lands a knockout punch of #23 GT 51-20. Braxton Miller was little off his game throwing 2 INTs which could've turned into 4. He threw though for 328 yds and 3 TDs and ran for 115 and added another TD on the ground. Unlike last year, OSU has a running threat in bruiser Carlos Hyde as he added 70 yds and a TD. WR Devin Smith found the endzone this week while Philly Brown took the WR yardage champ in the game. Frosh phenom TE Henderson can't block well, but his 87 CTH rating is solid as he added 61 yds and 2 TDs in the affair.
Another true frosh Dave White also shined in this game at OLB as he had 11 solo tackles and 1 sack.
OSU got out to a big lead but GT came back to make it 34-20 in the first minute of the 4th. Fearing a late game monster CPU comeback, the starters stayed in the game and Miller threw the 3rd TD pass to Henderson. Carlos Hyde added 1 more TD to seal the game.
#1 OSU looks to take on Stanford and remain undefeated.
looks like its time to increase the CPU pass D slider and decrease user pass accuracy...
Some of us don't cheese with the TE.
4-61-2 tds...far less cheezy than whats listed above...lol.
i can, i just choose to run it and try to stay balanced. these 40 YPC averages are a bit...yeah, lol. just 1 week though, hopefully just a 1 week wonder.
Separate names with a comma.
