It's been a solid few weeks for my predictions, I picked Cal over Oregon and also predicted Ohio State would knock off previously undefeated Wisconsin and that they did in fine fashion. Braxton Miller torched the Wisconsin secondary throwing for over 350 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Buckeyes now lead the B1G Leaders division. The other game going on in the B1G conference was Michigan hosting the Nittany Lions. The Wolverines let Penn State hang around until late in the 3rd quarter and a drive to start the 4th eventually put the Nittany Lions to bed, Michigan got back to their winning ways with the 48-20 victory.
In the Pac12, Trojan fans were haunted thinking they were going to fall to the Utes two years in a row. USC jumped out to a 17-7 halftime lead and things were looking smooth until Utah came flying back with 17 unanswered in the 3rd led by running back Kelvin York. USC trailed 24-17 going into the final quarter but the Trojans had the last laugh with a touchdown with 32 seconds remaining to knock off Utah 38-31. We warned Cal last week about that Colorado team. They gave USC a fit and USC is a much more talented team. The Bears were able to continue their hot streak however with a 20-17 victory. The Buffaloes hung close but they went to the 4th trailing by 3 and the 4th was a defensive battle allowing the Bears to escape Folsom Field with the victory. Coach sonn & his Oregon Ducks were scared for the trip to Seattle and they had all the reason to. The Ducks struggled in the first half with the Husky crowd but lit up the scoreboard in the 3rd to eventually take a 28-14 lead and hang on for a 28-21 win.
In the SEC, Auburn gave the Razorbacks a run for the money and had things tied up at half, even led late in the 3rd but a big 4th quarter from TE Austin Tate and QB Brandon Allen gave Arkansas enough fuel for the fire and were able to keep their perfect record with the 34-26 win in Fayetteville. We had another close battle in Columbia, and I don't mean South Carolina. The Crimson Tide traveled into Missouri and fought off a tough Tiger team. The two squads went back n forth for all 4 quarters but the Tigers could only match field goals with touchdowns and fell to the Tide 35-26.
This week, we finally have most of our teams playing, we're getting into the heart of conference play and things are going to start taking shape. Florida is coming off a bye week but they're carrying momentum after the huge win over previously #10 LSU. Arkansas had a scare with Auburn and will probably need to play a little better to fend off the Gators. The Tide will hit the road again and head into one of the biggest, loudest and toughest stadiums in the country in that of Neyland Stadium. The Volunteers have had a solid season, the fans, coaches & plays all hate their rival Alabama. The Tide will need to be ready to play.
In the B1G, Wisconsin has had this one circled since last year. The Badgers were fresh off a loss to Purdue last season when they traveled into Iowa and fell to the Hawkeyes. The scenario is similar again as Wisconsin is fresh off a loss to Ohio State and they'll be in Iowa City for the second straight year. Can the Badgers get the revenge or will they suffer two years in a row. Last year coach AJ Hart MN put an end to the Michigan State win streak. Spartan QB Kurt Cousin's and his senior class had won 4 straight for the Spartans which was the first time that had ever happened against the Wolverines. Coach Hartman put an end to that last year which was a big first year win for the coach. He's taken a little bit of a knock this year with the youth on his squad but they are the home team, the Wolverine faithful will be behind him, let's make it 2 in a row Michigan!... The Illini got a big win over Ohio State then took a week off to prepare for the gauntlet they call Minnesota  , Illinois loves to play close games against inferior opponents but with Heisman candidate Donovonn Young I don't see the Gophers hanging around in this one. The Buckeyes will climb the polls and host Nebraska this week. I don't see the Buckeyes having any issues with the Huskers...none at all.
Out West we have some solid match ups....Utah is hitting the part of the schedule with opponents they flat pissed off last year. The Trojans got their revenge last week and now it's Oregon's turn. However, prepare you're anus sonn [IMG] , they had a running back go over 200 yards last week and his name wasn't John White IXVIXIXIX. The Trojans will host Arizona State who's just flat out not that good. They've had their battles when they play above their talent level & expectations and then they've performed some flat out duds. With them being on the road, I think the Trojans will get great playing time for their 2nd & 3rd stringers. Coach ryalaman gets to play his old team, he know's what to prepare for except the talent will probably play 10x better then they did when he was the coach. EA will getcha. Grab your sticks, not your dicks and get these games done! Quick advance plz!

    [IMG]@[IMG]
    The Shoe
    Columbus, OH
They first met in 1955 & 1956 and then never faced off again until 2011. Ohio State is 3-1 all-time against the Huskers including last year's win in 2012. The only loss was in 2011 under interim coach Luke Fickell.
    [IMG]@[IMG]
    TCF Bank Stadium
    Minneapolis, MN
Illinois & Minnesota have been playing since 1898 and Illinois won 11-10. Then they lost 7 straight. After the 2012 victory, Illinois is riding a 3 game winning streak over the Gophers but they still trail in the all-time record 34-29.
    [IMG]@[IMG]
    Kinnick Stadium
    Iowa City, IA
First met in 1894 where Wisconsin won 44-0. The Badgers and Hawkeyes have went back and forth for over 140 years. After the embarrassing loss in 2012, Iowa took the all-time lead 43-42 and the longest streak was a 20 year stretch dating from 1977 and lasting until 1997. The only hiccup in that stretch was a 10-10 tie in 1984.
    [IMG]@[IMG]
    Michigan Stadium
    Ann Arbor, MI
Started in 1898 and have since met 104 times. Michigan has dominated this series and leads 68-32 all-time but recently the Spartans have had the most success. After winning 6 in a row the streak ended in 2008 and up until 2012 the Wolverine's hadn't tasted victory over their rival.
    [IMG]@[IMG]
    Memorial Stadium
    Columbia, MO
First met in 1952 and last met in 1985 but they've only met 7 times. Cal leads 4-2 and 1 tie amongst the two schools with Cal winning the last two games in 1985 and 1977.
    [IMG]@[IMG]
    Autzen Stadium
    Eugene, OR
Not a lot of history but more then most. Utah has only been in the Pac-12 for two years and in the 26 meetings, Oregon leads 18-9. After last years debacle in Salt Lake City, Oregon will look to seek revenge.
    [IMG]@[IMG]
    The Coliseum
    Los Angeles, CA
They've met yearly since 1990 and a total of 28 times. The Trojans aren't dominant in the series like everyone probably thinks but they do have a 19-10 record over the Sun Devils. USC started a streak in 2000 that went 11 straight before ending in 2011. In 2012 USC got back to their winning ways over Arizona State.
    [IMG]@[IMG]
    Stanford Stadium
    Stanford, CA
They've only met once and it was in 1992. A game called the "Pigskin Classic" in Anaheim, CA. Stanford won 10-7... great story huh ?
    [IMG]@[IMG]
    Neyland Stadium
    Knoxville, TN
These two powerhouses have met 93 times, and Alabama leads 49-37. Tennessee hasn't been good in quite some time and the last close game was in 2009 when big Terrance Cody busted through to block a last second field goal attempt by Tennessee. The longest streak was 11 games from 1971 to 1981 but currently the Tide have won 6 in a row over the Volunteers.
    [IMG]@[IMG]
    Memorial Stadium
    Columbia, MO
First met in 1952 and last met in 1985 but they've only met 7 times. Cal leads 4-2 and 1 tie amongst the two schools with Cal winning the last two games in 1985 and 1977.
    [IMG]@[IMG]
    Vanderbilt Stadium
    Nashville, TN
Vanderbilt has only beaten South Carolina 4 times in the 21 meetings they've had. When they win, it's back to back. It's a weird match up. South Carolina won 7 straight before losing back to back in 1998 & 1999. They won 7 straight again and then lost back to back in 2007 & 2008. They Gamecocks are currently on a 3 game streak so maybe it'll be another 4 years before Vanderbilt wins. (Can I just hope they win in real life tonight?)
    [IMG]@[IMG]
    Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium
    Fayetteville, AR
Florida & Arkansas don't face off as much as people might think. They last met in 2009 and since 1982 they've only played each other 9 times. Florida lost the first ever match up in 1982 and hasn't lost since as they hold a 8-1 record against the Razorbacks....

Crazier things have happened but I just see this Arkansas squad being too complete. If it was in Gainesville I would suggest a little different out come but Florida is another year from being really competitive. If the Gators can not turn the ball over and score like they've been it'll be a shootout. The scoreboard might break. For Arkansas, they just need to do what they've done all season.

    2-5 (1-4) vs #24 4-2 (3-1)
    10/15/13 1:00pm
A big play score on the first drive to open up this game came on a third and 17. Ty Montgomery would go unguarded by a cornerback down the sideline for a 57 yard touchdown. Texas A&M would attempt to get on the board on their first drive with a 58 yard field goal but the attempt would be fielded at the goal line by Nathan Owens who returned it to the Aggies 49 yard line. On the second play Eric Schultz would throw and interception, his first of four on the day. The Cardinal defense would step up and get the ball back after three plays. Schultz on the first play of the drive would throw his second pick and the Aggies took over on the Stanford 22 yard line. Bertolet would get three points on a 27 yard field goal. The offense would go three and out and then the Stanford defense would get a three and out.
Early in the second quarter halfback Barry Sanders Jr. would go off tackle for a seven yard TD run. Usua Amanam would end the next Texas A&M drive with a pick of his own and he returned it 17 yards to the Aggie 49 yard line. Schultz and Montgomery would hook up for their second score of the day when Eric saw Ty coming across the middle of the field with no one trailing him. Another three and out by the Cardinal defense but once again the offense could not capitalize as Schultz threw another interception. He now had as many in today's game as he had in the previous six. The Aggies would get their first touchdown of the game on a five yard reception by Hicks. Montgomery would haul in a 13 yard pass for his third score of the game before the half to make it 28-10.
First drive of the third quarter would see the Cardinal defense get another turnover as Perry would force them fumble and Anderson would pick it up on the Aggie 35 yard line. The great field position would lead to a 24 yard field goal from Williamson. Kodi Whitfield would give Stanford a 28 point lead with a 48 yard play action touchdown.
The fourth quarter would see a great comeback effort from Texas A&M. They would quickly score 14 points on runs of 24 yards by Malena and three yards by Graham. They would convert a fourth and five from the Stanford 22 yard line with a six yard pass and go on to score to make the game 38-31. On the onside kick one of the Aggies players would touch the ball before it traveled 10 yards. Freshman WR Will Ellis would get himself open for a 28 yard touchdown that would secure a 45-31 victory for Stanford.

    Wisconsin Wins With Late Surge
    [IMG]
Iowa City, IA -- After the loss last week to Ohio State, Wisconsin looked to get back to the winning ways and things started out for the Badgers as good as you could expect. QB Danny O'Brien led the game's opening drive past midfield and put the Badgers on the board 7-0. Facing a 3rd & 18, O'Brien threw one deep to star receiver Jared Abbrederis who beat his man and hauled in the touchdown reception. Iowa moved past midfield but a 2nd & 3rd down sack from the Badger defense forced a 4th & 31 punt but it didn't matter as a few plays later on a post route O'Brien's pass was undercut and intercepted by CB Gavin Smith and returned inside the Wisconsin 35 yard line. The Badger defense held their own and forced a 43 yard field goal to trail Wisconsin 7-3 after the first.
Wisconsin took possession into the 2nd quarter and the first play of the quarter Wisconsin was facing a 3rd & 27, O'Brien dumped an underneath route to WR Isaiah Williams but Williams was lit up by CB Blair Viney fumbling the ball and Iowa's Smith jumped on the fumble to give Iowa great field position once again. On 2nd & 7 , a hand off to Iowa back Jordan Canzeri was good for 20 yards and moved Iowa inside the 5 yard line. A few plays late TE Ken Warren caught a pass in the flat and ran in for the score to give Iowa the 10-7 lead. Wisconsin's offense wasn't sharp to open their next drive but on a 3rd & 12 Mr Reliable came up big again as Abbrederis hauled in another pass from O'Brien for 42 yards to move Wisconsin to the Iowa 20 yard line. Two plays later O'Brien hit WR Jeff Duckworth for the 11 yard touchdown. Iowa came roaring back though with TE Ray Hamilton and TE Ken Warren. The Badger defensive coordinator dialed up everything to cover these two guys but missed assignments killed the Wisconsin defense for 90% of the ball game. Hamilton snagged a pass from QB Jake Rudock and ran 21 yards down to the Wisconsin 30.
On the next play Iowa back Jordan Canzeri shook off 3 Badger tackles and was brought down inside the 5 and one player later Rudock hit WR Don Shumpert for the 11 yard score to give Iowa the 17-14 lead with 4:13 remaining in the 2nd quarter. After converting the first 3rd & 10 on the drive to Isaiah Williams the Badgers were faced with another one and O'Brien hit a WIDE OPEN (by 10 yards in any direction) Jeff Duckworth but the senior receiver dropped the pass forcing the Badgers to punt. With under a minute remaining before half, Iowa faced a 3rd & 10 but it was TE Ray Hamilton who came up with another 20 yard snag, then receiver Jacob Hillyer caught a 19 yard out route followed up by a 15 yarder over the middle to TE Ken Warren to move Iowa inside the 3 yard line with 40 seconds remaining. The Badgers stuffed the first down run and on 2nd down, Badger TE Tyler Dippel sacked QB Jake Rudock and Rudock fumbled and Dippel hopped on the recovery to save the Badgers from a bigger deficit. Wisconsin took it to half down 17-14.
Opening the 3rd with the ball Iowa moved the chains before taking a shot on first down, on a deep ball to receiver Shumpert was intercepted by CB Devin Gaulden. On a 2nd & 7 after the interception it was Mr Reliable once again was Abbrederis blew by his man off the line and hauled in the deep ball from O'Brien to give Wisconsin the lead once again 21-17. After the score, Iowa went on a drive that would absolutely make you pull your hair, break your controller and cuss at the top of your lungs. On first down Rudock lobbed up one for the the taking but as CB Devin Gaulden was taking over by the user and slamming Y, Gaulden looked the wrong way and never reacted to the ball allowing WR Don Shumpert to haul in the reception past the Iowa 40 yard line. Then a few plays later on a 4th & 1, a pass to the flat by TE Ray Warren was caught as it was again Devin Gaulden who wouldn't react to an easy interception. Warren snagged the reception and ran down to the 15 yard line.
After all the BS on the drive, Wisconsin's FS Dezmen Southward jumped in front of TE Ken Warren and intercepted the Rudock pass to start the 4th quarter. Wisconsin moved past midfield on the drive and Isaiah Williams beat his man deep down field but a late decision & bad throw resulted in O'Brien's 2nd interception of the game by FS Tanner Miller.
At this point, coach Eidson thought thing's just weren't meant as a dump off to full back Brad Rodgers went for 70 yards, but it wasn't that easy as Rodgers shook off two tackles and then stood in a HUDDLE of Wisconsin players but somehow ran in place like he was on a treadmill and busted out of the huddle and shook off two more tackles and went in for the touchdown to give Iowa a 24-21 lead (btw conservative tackling & all that shit was turned on, plus I wasn't hit sticking).
With 5:26 remaining down 24-21, Wisconsin needed to score but facing a fresh 1st & 10, O'Brien's protection collapsed and nobody was open so the senior QB took off running as he went to run he was sacked from behind and fumbled which was recovered by Iowa's SS Nico Law at the Wisconsin 45 yard line. On a 3rd & 9, star DT Jordan Kohout key'd his inner beast mode and busted through the line and sacked QB Jake Rudock who fumbled but was recovered by Iowa.
After the sack Iowa was forced to punt giving Wisconsin another shot with 3:50 remaining. On first down, Abbrederis took a shot down field to Abbrederis who looked like he was going to be open but safety BJ Lowery baited the throw and intercepted O'Brien (3rd of the game, only 2 on the season before this game) at the Iowa 35 yard line and of course the tackle animation doesn't work with Abbrederis standing right beside him so Lowery returned the interception back to the Wisconsin 42 yard line with 3:31 remaining. The Badger defense held again with a 4th & 6 and Iowa opted to kick a field goal but kicker Mike Meyer fell short on the 53 yard attempt. James White has returned several missed field goals in his career but he magically dropped the ball in the endzone so Wisconsin took over at their own 38.
On 2nd & 10, O'Brien looked to throw to Abbrederis on a drag route but as the QB looked down field, receiver Jeff Duckworth had beat his man by 5 yards, O'Brien layed the ball out ahead of the receiver who caught the pass at the 5 and went in for the score to give Wisconsin a 28-24 lead with 2:08 left. For Iowa, their first play of the next series Rudock tried to go deep and was picked off by sophomore FS Michael Caputo. Wisconsin added a James White touchdown run a little later and then MLB Matt Borland picked off Rudock who tried to cheese so his TE again (covered that mother fucker myself) and ended the game as Wisconsin escapes Iowa City with the 35-24 victory.

    Highlight Video
Captured the whole game and just clipped out the big plays. It's about a 5:00 video but recaps the whole game. PLEASE watch the freaking play with that FB who broke 95,000 tackles. (4:20 mark)

Really shocked that Kevonte Martin-Manley didn't have a single reception after torching me last year.
