    Oregon 34
    Utah 14

Utah got off to a quick start, jumping to a 14-3 lead. The Ducks were not discouraged and managed to score twice in the last 11 seconds of the half. The Ducks used their 2 minute drill to score with 11 seconds left on a 1 yard Matthew Pope run. On the kickoff, Utah took a knee in the end zone, taking the ball at the 20. On the next play, instead of taking a knee, the Utes ran the ball and HB Lucky Radley fumbled. The ball was recovered by DT Justin Garrett who returned it 18 yards for the go ahead TD. The Ducks never trailed again. HB Matthew Pope finished the game with 89 yards rushing and 1 td. QB Brian Bennett threw for 187 yards and 2 tds. The Ducks return home to Autzen Stadium to host Texas AM.

The Badgers D game-planned around OU's star HB Clay's blazing speed all week long, and of all players it was a backup Sr safety who was the POTG. The game began with some 3 n outs. That was until Tamakole (the safety earlier mentioned) came in and drilled an OU WR who then coughed up the rock over to Wisconsin. The Badgers took an early 7-0 lead on a Budymar TD pass. OU quickly responded with their own TD scoring drive with a Clay run. Wisconsin went back to work, with WR Ducky converting a 3rd and long which led to a White TD. OU then threatened late in the half, but Tamakole would rise up for his first pick of the game, ending any scoring chance. In the 3rd quarter, though, it was a different story, as OU would score 14 unanswered points, taking a 21-14 lead. But, just as he has before, HB Williams busted through a 9 man defensive front and coasted his way for a 52 yard TD untouched. OU, just like it had before, would answer right back. As CB Scott went for the pick, WR Stills would snag the ball and go in for a 34 yard score. Then, with 7:03 left in the game, Wisconsin faced a 4th and short, down 28-21 on the road. Coach Mexi sent out the punt unit and put his faith on the defense. And was it a great decision. Tamakole would pick off his 2nd pass of the day deep in OU territory. White then scored from the goal line, tying the baby up. OU then had a huge pass play of at least 40 yards on a second down play, but a holding call would negate the play, forcing OU to punt with 2:49 left. Wisconsin would then look to drive to kill as much time as they could before going for a game winning FG. Instead, White scampered in from 23 yards out. OUs slime chance of a comeback was ended as Finch fumbled the ball away on the kickoff.

    #4 Wisconsin 35 - #7 Oklahoma 28

    Turnovers doom Illini in Provo
    Illini: 0 14 7 7 28
    BYU: 3 13 7 10 33

The good news for the Illini was that they were able to find a running game and effectively move the ball against BYU. That's about the only thing positive that Coach Cheez can take out of this game, as the Illini would turn the ball over 5 times in the 33-28 loss (including once inside the 10 yard line).

Senior QB did throw two interceptions, but one was while leading his team down the field in the last minute to attempt to salvage this game. The other occured in the first quarter, down 3-0 when he lobbed a pass from the 10 yard line into the back corner of the endzone into the waiting safety's hands. Chandler Whitmer would make his season debut when Forcier left for a short time with a ribs injury, and throw a pick of his own in Cougar territory. Both Jon Justice and Renaldo James had a fumble each as well.

Forcier would finish the afternoon 15-27, gaining 300 yards and 3 TDs to go with his 2 interceptions. Justice lead the rushing attack, going for 95 yards on 16 carries. different from last week, however, he split carries with Renaldo James, who gained 18 yards on 7 carries.

Illinois did have one star in the rough today. Doug Millines caught 7 passes for 162 yards and 2 TDs in the loss. He emerged as Forcier's favorite target in this one.

Next up for Illinois, the road doesn't get any easier as they welcome #25 Pittsburgh into the House of Paign

Bucky Brings the Beat Down to Austin

The new OC for the Longhorns appears to not know how to pass the ball. Which would not be a problem if he never called any passing plays. Starting Tailback Chris Whaley average over ten yards a carry but was forced to watch drive after drive fail because every other pass attempt resulted in the loss of yards, and the death of a drive.

Even had Texas had a competent offensive play caller, they still would not have been able to slow down the OSU offense. Dominate does not adequately describe the buckeye performance. Texas Provided one stop all game, that was a stripped ball after a 20 yard gain. Texas forced one 4th down before giving up a 39 yard FG with 10 seconds left in the first half. The OSU QB was 18-19 for 348 yards, and 2 TD passing and the one miscue was a ball that bounce off an open TEs helmet.

Longhorn fans everywhere wince in pain.

Good game with Wisconsin...but just had a few turnovers that killed me. My starting QB got knocked out in the first quarter but came back in the 3rd. I'd like to think I would've had a better chance without him getting hurt (he was 14-16 for 232; back up was 6-11 for 92), but I blew my chances in the 4th. We'll have to regroup and get ready for Arizona, so that maybe the Big 12 can be better than one conference this year.

I'm the only Illini that's rocking. The rest of my team needs to go the way of the tribe at this point haha.

Tune up game before the game with UCLA as HB Marcus Coker ran the ball like a beast again for over a 100 yards in less 3 qtrs of play and QB Huff played like a vet in only his second start. But our first real test will be this week against UCLA before I know where we stand this year among the Big Boys.
