Starting in 2013 Coach QBKILLAR will be taking over the helm at Southern Miss. The Golden Eagles are described by most as average at best. Looking down the barrel of a tough schedule that is front loaded with #2 USC and Baylor, they then travel to SEC country to end the tough stretch with ACC coach rival Abom. There are a couple of bright spots for the Eagles though. QB's C. Weeks and A. Favors both boast great tallent and look to be a huge bright spot. Both are gonna be tough to contain with better than average speed and lots of time to mature as they are only RS Soph's. Taking the hand off from this QB duo will be D. Johnson. Johnson is a back who only needs a small hole to rip off a big gain and is hard for a defense to get a hand on. Catching the passes will be the responsibility of Sr T. Lampley and 6'5" Jr D. Sullivan. A seasoned O line will be protecting and blocking for this group. Now on the defense. The bright spot and anchor of this team is OLB J. Collins. Collins tallied 58 solo tackles for the Golden Eagles last year and hopes to build on those number's this year. He has been voted team captain. Now at the DB spot there isnt much fall all. With this young and speedy group putting up points could be hard for even the most seasoned group of receivers. The defensive line can hold their own even without the talented backfield. They are anchored by R. Henderson, DT K. Thorton and DT Rakeem Nunez Roches. These three alone tip the scales at 912 LBS. Thats a lot of beef for anyone to try to plow their way through and a QB dismantling machine. Southern Miss fans will except nothing less than a winning record and bowl apperance from this group as expectations are high Hattiesburg. Only time will tell but Coach QBKILLAR is looking to end the season in the top 25.
