My guy looks better in the picture than when he is playing (gameface). I was going to that polo shirt ahahaha . Whats your carry distance? (and your avg.)
I'm not sure where to look that up at, I think it's somewhere around 280-290 yards or so though as far as average distance goes.
Don't need a high putting rating when you know how to read a green and go 12/6 with the stick. Putting is the easiest part of the game.
You are correct, except...if you don't hit perfect/perfect and 6/12 then your miss will be amplified by your low putting number. But hey, if it works for you, awesome! Andre, my driver distance says 281 at its max and I am at 90 power. I forget which driver I am using but the driver, shaft, ball, like Soooooners said, trajectory, and loft all matter. I use a 9.5 degree driver. During that round we played, I was hitting some drivers off the fairway about 275, 255 carry and 20 yard roll. I tend to be an overswing/under golfer and rarely hit perfect/perfect. In fact I never hit perfect on the follow-through. BTW I'll post my player later, but I created a girl golfer just to mess around. I had my gameface golfer but his career got messed up. When I started over I had accidently deleted last years save and couldn't import XP. So if anyone plays with me H2H, I'm not really a girl.
Here is mine (using GameFace). Still looks like a white Zombie. Still coudn't resist wearing the German Polo Shirt and of course the pinstripe Pants (as a White Sox Fan).
Uhm, we have more power than control guys! Have guys tried both? Have you noticed any difference ? if you did use both.
Funny that you mentioned it. I played my 4th practice round at Torrey today - the first as a "Power" Golfer. It was awful (+3). I shot an average of -3 as a control golfer. So I will switch back to "control" when I will start my Tournament tomorrow.
I switched to control after my first 20 or so rounds.I was just all over the plays and a lot of the courses were really punishing if you miss the fairway. Not only my scoring sucked, but I was also loosing too many XPs by missing FIR&GIRs. Plus I'm still building up the CAG ( just hit lvl 95 hooray),so I figured no need to experiment until I know what my distances and everything else will be Might give it a try back once I'm done building ,and when I'm a little bit more comfortable with my swing. Also I was thinking there is such a big difference in styles.Do you guys think we should make a rule players should decide what their final dude will be(or a certain stock golfer) and stick with it for the rest of the season? Obviously will give couple of weeks to experiment
That could be a nice idea. Maybe not for the whole season, but to stick to it for a couple of tournaments or at least for the whole duration of the tournament. Therefore we will have to know prior to teeing off what kinda golfer you need for the tournament. This could be easier, as some of the guys struggling m be affected for a whole season rule.
I just switched my guy back to control and my approach shots are WAY better. I was having a hard time in the first round of this weeks tournament and my guy was set to power plus I couldn't hit a fairway or green to save my life. I am -7 through 7 holes in a practice round I am playing right now. I think i'll be sticking with control for now lol.
My dude. It needs to be noted that after more than 5 years with Taylor Made and Adidas, he has been signed to Nike for 2013
I'm really starting to think about changing to an accurate golfer. I wanted power at first since the distance off the tee with the CAG is atrocious... but now I feel like my guy just can't place the ball around the green the way I want. ... or maybe I just stink
I have a control guy, I still don't see much of that "control" with my second shots. Gonna have to´keep practicing I guess.
