2013 TCCT Tour kicks off 4/8, settings and info inside

Gentleman,
we are ready to kick off the 3rd edition of the TSO golf tour.The tour will start Monday 4/8.
All tournaments will last a week.There will be Sunday daily tournament with settings same as the 4th round of the weekly,to be used as tie-breaker.

Settings:
Major Tournaments : Simulation
Regular Tournaments : Custom Simulation with:
* beadles grid on
*wind on
*marker : analog

We reserve the right to change those to full simulation for all tournaments,when we get the hang of it.
Please understand the vision of the tour I've always had is to get as many members playing,and I believe this will a fair compromise.

In addition since I know how hard it is to build a CAG and that a lot of the players here do not spend excessive amount of time with TW,for the 2013 season Any stock golfer will be allowed !!!
We feel that we have challenging settings to begin with,so we don't want people going to the course driving 220 yards.
However keep in mind a fully build CAG is much better,both as attributes and equipment choice than any of the stocks (including Tiger or Rory),so in the long run you'll be better off with a CAG.

Are we doing Live Weather?

I see we can choose any stock player if we like which is good for me since my pro is hitting the driver at 230-240 yards. Are you able to switch to your pro or do you have to stay with the one you use at the beginning of the tour.

Yes you can.Like I said when fully maxed out the CAG will be better than any of the stock golfers (including Tiger).They will have better attributes,plus you'll be able to
choose the clubs in your bag.So in a long run it will benefit to work on your golfer.
I just didn't want everyone to rush and burn out trying to play tons of rounds in a short period of time,or just play an already hard settings with bad CAG

If you mean weather we do not plan as of right now,except for matchplay. Last year in H2H matches(not in live tournaments) players were getting different direction winds.
That being said I don't plan to go extreme on the winds ( except for The Open).I now we've had a lot of winds last year,but the weather was probably the best defense against high scores
in previous edition of the game.

If you mean live time of the day - NO! Night golf may be cool,but it is unfair to force people who can only play at nite and do not like this setting

Are the rules still the same as the ones posted for last year?

It seems like the tournaments can be set up differently through the Country Club site or game or whatever so the settings will be already put in place?

Do I have to finish the whole round at once or can I save on the 5th hole for example and come back in a few hours if I have to leave for something?

Are we still playing with handicaps?

Rules are still the same. The tournament will be set up with settings already in place -- Vlad (PS3) and bamagrad (XBOX) will set up the week's tournament. You can not save in the middle of a round, if I'm wrong someone correct me. But I do not believe you can save on hole #5 and come back later as your example posed.....

Handicaps will be figured after you play 3 events I think.....

Is there a plan for any kind of insurance in case of freezes and/or lost connections ?

I ask, because I hit into a hazard (tree) in our Daily at Sheshan today and the game just freezes and didn't allow me to go on.
And yesterday I lost connection playing the 36-hole Augusta Live Tournament.

From the rules section:

The events will be set to run from Monday until Sunday, with 2 tries and 1 submission. This means you will get 5 tries to complete the 4 required rounds. Please do not use the extra round unless you get disconnected from EA or Xbox Live. If you disconnect more than once please contact one of the GM's for information on how to proceed.



Will this be the settings for this year, too ?

correct

it actually should be changed to freeze.EA no have connect at anytime or at the end of the round option.
So in case if you get disconnected do not quit,continue your round and try to submit at the end

That didn't work on my lost connection yesterday.
So I guess the EA Servers had it set to "anytime".

But - good to know.

I just re-checked the Augusta Tournament I've mentioned above.
My score is indeed there (now). Not sure why it wasn't there earlier today !?
So the round actually counted even though I've lost connection several times.
Well - I think this is a good sign.
