Coach Dwreck takes over the 2013 Longhorns 4 games into the season (3-1) and the team currently unranked. This Texas squad is heavy with senior leadership (22 seniors) that want to end their career on a positive note. However, the first game of the new coaching staff's tenure was not pretty as the Longhorns get embarrassed by rival Oklahoma in the Red River Shootout (don't have to be PC here). Senior quarterback Case McCoy, brother of legendary Texas QB Colt McCoy (86 ovr), struggled mightily and was benched in the second half in favor of Junior Conner Woods (85 ovr). Woods looks to be the starter for the rest of the season as the Longhorns intend to lean heavily on their talented offensive line and their bruising tailback Malcolm Brown (89 ovr) and then spreading it out to their talented pair of wide receivers Mike Davis (98 ovr) and Marquise Goodwin (93 ovr). TE Dominique Jones (93 ovr) looks to work the middle of the field and keep the chains moving. On defense CB Byndom Carrington (94 ovr) will try to shut down half of the field while LOLB Jordan Hicks (94 ovr) and DT Ashton Dorsey (93 ovr) clog up the middle. The schedule is not that difficult the rest of the way with the big game against currently undefeated #14 Texas Tech in Austin on Week 12.
