    1 more note

I dropped CPU RB Ability by 5. Let's see if that helps the people struggling some. If i see 12 users in the top 15 run defense It will go back up.

Va Tech started the season winning 28-7 dominating with the run game racking up 289 yards on the ground and holding the ball almost double the time of the Rutgers offense. But a wrinkle in the offense may have surfaced as the wideouts dropped the ball 3 times and new QB Gregory was never able to find a rhythm passing. Freshman WR Derwin Davis had a decent first game 3 receptions for 33 yards but dropped two which would have been long TDS. He also fumbled on a punt that led to rutgers only score. To be fair a fair catch was called but not given. Heisman leader David Wilson had a huge day running 35 times for 226 yards and 3 scores. Gregory also did some things with his feet running 13 times for 56 yards.

Va Tech must figure out these passing game woes if they plan to contend this year. Wilson cant do it all himself......

    Or Can He????

    Toledo 7
    Michigan 42

Avenging a 10 - 13 home loss to the Zips during the 2008 season, Michigan dominated Toledo. Throughout the game the Wolverines rotated players in various positions on offense as Coach B.S. Knight was interested to see what his many young players were capable. Starting QB Chris PArker threw two TDs to WR Je'Ron Stokes and TE Bruce Webb for 48 and 9 yards respectively. On the ground, Michigan HBs Ken Marshall and Vincent Smith had two rushing TDs apiece and combined for 149 yards. Defensively, Casey Douglas and Vlad Emilien had a pick each while Anthony Lalota added 2 sacks to push his school record to 32 for his career.

Another epic battle between Miami and Oregon. Once again the game came down to a last second iced field goal attempt and Miami was also the victor in both occasions. I have now won 3 games against users in this league and all were decided by a last second field goal. I missed another extra point and a very short field goal earlier in the game, both due to controller not responding to analog stick.

AJ Highsmith played out of his mind and the receivers made some big plays. Both teams in this game avoided turnovers until the 4th quarter. With Oregon inside the redzone, Miami safety Henry intercepted a ball in his own endzone.

Great game by T-Mac, the game was very well played.

DOEGE FIGHTS OFF A DEFENDER TO THROW A 60 YARD TD

    Texas Tech 28
    Rice 13

Texas Tech opens the season with a solid road performance in Houston against Rice. The Red Raiders jump out to a 14-0 lead early in the second behind solid defensive play, and an efficient offense. The first half was capped off late in the second when Tech receiver Greg Griffin beat his man over the middle, and caught a strike from QB Seth Doege for a 60 yard TD.

Rice got back into the game in the second half by picking off Doege 3 times, and breaking a 74 yard TD run midway through the fourth, but the Red Raiders defense made the crucial plays on third and fourth down to seal the victory. Rice only managed to convert 3 third downs the entire game, and was o for 2 on fourth.

SS Tony Harris led the team in tackles with 8, and senior LB Riley Harvey added a pair of sacks in the win.

Next up, Texas Tech will host UCLA.

Texas Opens the Season with a Blowout

    Texas - 49
    Fresno State - 9

Texas started it's defense of the National Championship with a game at Fresno State. Texas picked up where it left off last season.

The Longhorns showed that Garrett Gilbert was not the only reason for the success last year. Redshirt junior Paul Bailey is this years starter at quarterback and he did not disappoint. He went 11 for 15 for 231 yards and 4 touchdowns. Texas also has a new starter at halfback. Redshirt senior Chris Whaley will be the workhorse for the Horns. In his first game as start he posted 115 yards on 19 carries. Redshirt freshman Brian Andrews looks to be the go-to guy at receiver. In his first game as a Longhorn he hauled in 5 passes for 89 yards and 3 scores.

Defensively, Texas was led by Jared Johnson and Brandon Walter. Each recorded 9 tackles. Walter had 2 TFL and 1 forced fumble. Johnson sacked the quarterback once. Redshirt freshmen Anthony Johnson also started his Longhorn career with a bang. He only accounted for 3 tackles and 1 pass deflection but had an amazing interception that was returned 105 yards for a score.

Texas next hosts USC in an early season matchup of 1 vs. 2.

    # Notre Dame 7

The USC defense dominated thankfully after a TERRIBLE opening half by QB Barkley who threw FIVE interceptions this game. The pass defense was great all game and shut down the ND offense. Matt eventually turned it around in the 2nd half throwing 4 Touchdowns and going for over 400 yards passing. USC hopes to limit it's mistakes next week against the number 1 Texas Longhorns.

Looks like FSU played, will advance tonight when i get home
