Both teams started slow in this one as both QB's threw early picks. The jackets would score first on a 1 yard td run by Fb Sims. The panthers would answer with two touchdowns in the second(including a fluke 48 yard td pass with 8 seconds left). 14-10 panthers at half. The Jackets would dominate the second half running off 24 unanswered points to roll 34-14. The big plays were Autrys 36 yard td catch and Godhighs 48 yard run. The jackets improved to 5-4 (4-3) and are looking to become bowl eligible with a win next week at 3-5 Boston College.

    QB Lee 18 of 24 308 yards 1 td 1 pick
HB Godhigh 32 for 148 yards 2 tds (pog)

MIAMI wins defensive battle at home

Miami won the toss and elected to Kick, Florida State would fumble on the opening possession and give Miami good field position. The fast and tough defense of FSU would hold Miami to a field goal. The first quarter was quiet on the offense side but FSU would tack on a TD pass to Kelvin Benjamin with 1:03 left in the quarter. The Hurricanes would turn the ball over in the Redzone with their first drive of the second quarter but would pick FSU off to regain possession. Steven Morris connected on a 34 yard touchdown pass to Phillip Dorsett midway through the second. The defensive grind of this game would take over until the final seconds when FSU connected on a 23 yard field goal to tie things up going into the Half.

Miami would recieve in the second half but the drive was quickly halted when Stephen Morris would throw a pick six to Keelin Smith. FSU controlled the ball in the 3rd quarter going on a long drive. Jameis Winston would fumble leading to a scoop and score from 59 yards out making the score 17-17 going into the 4th quarter. FSU would go on another long taxing drive ending with a 38 yard FG. The tides turned in the 4th when soph. CB Antonio Crawford would intercept two passes in the 4th quarter one being for 96 yards as FSU was trying to score to take the lead.

On a side note Heisman front runner Duke Johnson was nearly shut down gaining only 52yds on the ground and one rushing TD.

POTG: CB Antonio Crawford 3 int, 96 yard int TD

    Great game FSU!

    HOGS DOMINATE AUBURN

The Hogs faced a down and out Auburn team on the road Saturday. After losing 2 straight games, Arkansas needed to get a win. Arkansas struggled early on to score touchdowns but Zach Hocker was able to make all 3 of his field goals. Auburn scored a touchdown on an 8 yd run by Tre Mason late in the 1st quarter and Arkansas finally scored a touchdown on a 7 yd run by Jonathan Williams with 31 seconds left in the first half, but failed to convert the 2pt conversion. At halftime the score stood 15-10 with Arkansas in the lead. In the second half the Razorbacks went off and dominated for the rest of the game. They scored a touchdown on almost every possession and the defense played lights out giving up only 100 yards of offense and 9 points. Arkansas got a much needed victory beating Auburn 44-19. Arkansas played a near perfect game and Brandon Allen had his best game of the season throwing for 301 yards with no turnovers. Jonathan Williams ran the ball well, rushing for over 100 yards and scoring 2 touchdowns. Alex Collins also ran for a touchdown. Austin Tate had another big game, catching 7 passes for 109 yards. Trey Flowers lead the defense recording 2 sacks. Next week, Arkansas travels to Oxford to play the Ole Miss Rebels.

    Mississippi St Leaves NO Doubt

After last week's struggle against Kentucky, new coach, Jason Williams, had his players watch Remember the Titans three times and Miracle twice. His players became relaxed and began believing his words, about playing stress free football - don't think, just react. Use your speed and skills.
His players heard the call and showed up huge against Vandy.
Quarterback Tyler Russel led the way throwing 27 of 29 for 425 yards and 6 touchdowns. By the way, he only played the first half! Russel said after that game, "It was just one of those games! You want to play that way every week."
The defense did their part by causing three turnovers - all three interceptions.
The Bulldogs will not be thinking about this win too long as they have the Texas A&M Aggies coming up this week in Mississippi. The players around the locker room, who will go unnamed told the media, "Get used to it, because we're here, and we're here to stay." Defensive coach GeoffCollins he liked this last weeks game because it left no doubt who the best team was in the country that week.
The Bulldogs sure aren't being humble about this win, we'll catch up with them after next week to see if their attitude has changed
