Mississippi St Leaves NO Doubt
After last week's struggle against Kentucky, new coach, Jason Williams, had his players watch Remember the Titans three times and Miracle twice. His players became relaxed and began believing his words, about playing stress free football - don't think, just react. Use your speed and skills.
His players heard the call and showed up huge against Vandy.
Quarterback Tyler Russel led the way throwing 27 of 29 for 425 yards and 6 touchdowns. By the way, he only played the first half! Russel said after that game, "It was just one of those games! You want to play that way every week."
The defense did their part by causing three turnovers - all three interceptions.
The Bulldogs will not be thinking about this win too long as they have the Texas A&M Aggies coming up this week in Mississippi. The players around the locker room, who will go unnamed told the media, "Get used to it, because we're here, and we're here to stay." Defensive coach GeoffCollins he liked this last weeks game because it left no doubt who the best team was in the country that week.
The Bulldogs sure aren't being humble about this win, we'll catch up with them after next week to see if their attitude has changed
