Get em Done
51-48 What a game this was. It was pretty much back and forth the whole game, there was no type of defense in this game, Kentucky was in fire through the air. Sophomore Qb Jalen Whitlow and WR Demarco Robinson were just connecting all day. After Alabama took the lead 48-44 with 1:33 left. Senior Rb Raymond Sanders would take the kick back 50 yards then be taken down. Refs called a Facemask penalty which put Kentucky in excellent position to start their Gamewinning drive. After a few runs and passes Kentucky found their way to Alabamas 1 yard with 40 sec left. 1st down, Kentucky runs a dive out of pistol, stuffed loss of 2 yards. 2nd down, Kentucky runs another dive, stuffed again, no loss or gain. 3rd and goal, Kentucky passes the ball, TE Kendrick catches the ball but drops it in the end zone. 4th and Goal, Crowd is roaring, Whitlow was literally shaking because he was so nervous, so was 1st year coach Hakeem Abdul,Jalen whitlow would find RB Raymond sanders on a delayed route out of the backfield for a TD. Alabama would get the balll back with about 11 seconds throw a last second hail mary but it got picked off game over.
Great win for Kentucky as they head into a bye week.
man i hate spread/option qb.
I'm not a fan of it in this game either. It feels too overpowered as if every college QB can run it to perfection.
the spread attack is unstoppable. at least for me.
It's not that as much as ANY QB in this game can run it great. Even drop back passers.
CARDINALS BEAT THE JACKETS42-23 A huge game from Bridgewater after an embarrassing display last week, leads the Cards to the victory over ACC opponent Georgia Tech. The cards started off hot going up 14-0 going into the second. The jackets weren't gonna give up that easy though. After Louisville scored again at the beginning of the second, Tech would respond with a quick field goal. Louisville would get the ball back and power it down the field with Bridgewater capping it off with a 21 yard TD run. Tech would then start a long, hard drive and score with little time left in the half. So at the half, it was 28-10, Cards. Tech would get the ball coming out of the half and star QB Vlad Lee would connect with his WR Travin Henry for a 71 yard TD pass! 28-17. That would be the only score in the 3rd. Louisville would pull away due to an amazing 4th quarter from Bridgewater. A great way for the Cards to come back from a heartbreaking loss last week. Great game tar heel.
UGA squeaks out victory over Missouri38-33 I'm not sure the dawgs got off the bus for the start of this game. The offense was shutout in the first quarter with both of their first two drives ending in punts. The defense was even worse to begin the game as the dawgs went down 21-0 with only 2 minutes to go in the half. Missouri passing game was clicking as Franklin hooked up with Dorial Green Beckham on a 9 and 7 yard TD pass and hit Washington on a 21 yard strike. UGA finally got on the board with a Morgan FG from 36 yards out to "close" the gap to 21-3. A defensive stand on the next possession allowed backup QB Mason to hit Lynch on a 10 yard out to finally hit pay dirt with 27 seconds to go in the half. Mason you say?! Yeah, that is because Lemay the other backup hurt his back during the game is out 9 weeks. Murray has been absolutely terrible with his accuracy all year which is mind blowing. The second half D for the dawgs had a ton of bend but no break holding the Tigers to 4 FG's as the offense got rolling putting up 28 second half points. It's literally a different QB each game for the dawgs that pulls them through. Gurley however was the savior as he scored on a 3 yard dive play with 15 seconds to give the dawgs the lead and victory 38-33.
QB - Franklin 23/36, 313 yards, 2 TD, 1 Int
RB - Josey 42 yards on 6 carries
WR - Washington 5 catches 140 yards 1 TD
QB - Mason 18-26, 279 yards, 2 TD
RB - Gurley 71 yards on 11 carries and 1 TD
WR - Lynch 7 catches 125 yards 1 TD
They Keep On WinningAnother big win for Clemson after an impressive display last week, leads the Tigers to the victory over ACC opponent Boston College. The Tigers started off hot going up 14-0 going into the second quarter. Clemson continued to build on their lead as they went up 21-3 going into halftime after Boyd threw a touchdown to WR Humphries. It was the same old story at the beginning of the 2nd half as WR Sammy Watkins scored from 2 yards out on a Jet Sweep play puting Clemson up 28-3. Clemson then put their back-ups in and continued to run down Boston College's throat winning by a final score of 35-6.
Rebels dominate Aggies 45-21 This game started off in controversy as the TAMU coach was no where to be found. There was still a game to be played and the Rebels held Johnny football in check until late in the game in a dominating win. Ole Miss won the toss and elected to kick. On the first possession A&M drove into Rebel territory only to miss a 52 yard field goal. Ole Miss would score early and often going 64 yards on 10 plays for a 7-0 lead. After td drives by both teams A&M missed another 52 yard field goal and Ole Miss found the endzone again this time in 8 plays for a 21-7 lead, and A&M would never get closer. Manzeil had an amazing completion percentage, but everything was short and he was held under 150 total yards until late in the 4th quarter. Ole Miss ran 89 plays compared to A&M's 50 and dominated on both sides of the ball. Bo Wallace finished 36-51 431 yards 3 td and a int. Ja-Mes Logan was the mvp for the Rebels though, pulling in 12 receptions for 167 yards and a touchdown. Manziel saw his heisman stock tumble being held to a season low total yard and 1 td. Ole Miss goes back home for a big game against LSU next week.
