    #3 Va Tech - 41
    #7 Maryland- 0

Score says it all.... Maryland was hoping to come away with a big win in Blacksburg but there was just no way that Coach DJ was going to let another big loss happen. The defense was there all game, the offense began to click after the 1st Qtr and it was just all curtains after that.

One thing though was David Wilson again got injured this game out for 2 qtrs but came back to finish strong with 140 yards and 2 tds only to get injured again at the end of the game (both were back injuries)...

    Top Performers:

    T. Gregory- 16-26 306 yards 1TD
    A. Carroll- 6 rec 126 yards
    D. Davis- 4 rec 116 yards 1TD
    J. Hosley 1 tack 2 INT 1 TD

    Miami blasts Yellow Jackets

The game started off badly for Georgia Tech. The opening kickoff was fumbled and Miami scooped it for a TD. On the next drive the Yellow Jackets fumbled an option pitch and Miami would scoop it up. This gave Hurricanes' offense a short field and the team took advantage. Highsmith threw his first of 5 TD passes on this drive. Miami would continue scoring and led 21-0 before GT finally got on the board. Miami gave up a long run to GT HB Smith. Miami would answer back and score another TD, ending 1st quarter with a 28-7 lead. GT's Smith answered back with a kick return TD but that wrapped up GT's scoring for the day.

Miami continued to score in the second quarter, thanks to Highsmith's arm and legs. He only played 2 1/2 quarters but finished with 240 yards passing, 75 yards rushing and 5 touchdown passes. The defense also had a big day, grabbing 3 fumbles and 3 interceptions. SS Henry led the way with 2 of the 3 interceptions.

Countdown to Virginia Tech match is now just 2 weeks. Hurricanes play another game next week but the team is more focused on the match with the Hokies.

    Miami 52
    Georgia Tech 14

Oregon defeats Washington State in a game that was way closer than what it should have been, but when the offense makes mistakes that is what happens. Perkins and Wilcox had another nice game as my running duo, but my QB just can't make throws I need him to (Thank God he's a senior).

My defense did its best to keep Wash. St. shut down as K. Johnson had two picks and several more pass deflections on third downs that were huge.

For any fathers with 2 year olds: dont try to play while watching them!!! Hokie played great. He ran and threw all over my slow defense. I hope he saved his run by his HB. It was insane!!! All in all, UCLA got mashed by the Penn State defense. Falling behind so early really took me out of my game plan. Again, good game Hokie. Good luck the rest of the season!

Stanford Carpenter split QB duties with starter Chris Parker a the two combined for 289 passing yards with 3 TD tosses and 0 interceptions. Michigan dominated from the opening whistle as Illinois scored twice on two desperation heaves toward the end zone. Michigan attempts to regain Paul Bunyan's Axe next week against rival Michigan State.

I couldn't have played better and this is very suprising after my loss to cpu Purdue. My back up QB Jenkins was 19/21 364yds 3 TD and 0 INT's. James and Brown both had over 100yds rec. Dukes had 117yds 3 TD on 15 carries including this crazy run that set the tone early.

    http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/18463149

My defense was on point to with 7 sacks and 3 TO's, holding the Bruins to 241yds with most of it coming in the 4th. Recchem is a better coach than the score indicates, he is just in a hole with UCLA. You can see the drop off in talent. GG Recchem.

    Texas - 48
    Texas Tech - 10

Tech opened the game quickly. They took the opening drive and scored. The Red Raiders were not able to do much beyond that. The Longhorn defense held Tech to -31 yards rushing and 214 yards passing. Doege was sacked 5 times and was under pressure all game. Patrick Nkwopara had 3 of them to add to his team leading total. Willie Mills led the offense with 130 yards on 25 carries and 2 touchdowns.

Texas will next face Oklahoma State in Stillwater in a game of conference unbeatens.
