I could be wrong, but I recall scouting Marvin Krunch and he was superstar development, not slow.

When I have few critical roster holes to fill, I'll splurge to find out who is the best for the long-term. I'm a big fan of development.

Interesting. I went back and double checked the guide that had been made (which is the whole reason for this thread) and it does say slow development for Krunch. He was a storyline player, so I wonder if the development is affected by the storyline.

Kudos to you for spending the points. You would have had an advantage over anyone surreptitiously using the guide (not that I expect any of our own to be doing that), as you knew his true development instead of what was erroneously listed in the guide. If only Pope hadn't popped the #1 for him ;).

Haha. I think my reply was "Really Pope?" I thought for sure he'd slip to #11.

I guess someone else spent the 5K to find out he was the superstar.

I was going to take him at #2 if Pope didn't at #1...

Clearly I was not the only one who scouted him to death.

Not to death. I just knew he had the attributes that I look for. Quite honestly, I could care less about the development trait. I'd rather save my scouting points to check out other rookies and find attributes that I look for at certain positions. I usually don't pay attention to the story lines either, but I probably should.

seems like I got some nice picks in the drafts. but yancey was the only guy I drafted personally and I got off work rushed home for my pick got it in and headed to my other job. with my track record I think the computer does a better job than I do. I have several guys that have quick development that I never would have drafted had not been for the computer picking for me. thanks bears scouting team!

    THIS!!!
I have yet to spend any XP on development. There are certain attributes I look for depending on position. I just wish they'd get rid of the letter grade system. Waste of time and XP...

Development is certainly not the first thing I look at when scouting. Best way to blow a large portion of your XP. I too look for particular attributes, and if I like what I see, I take it a step further if my remaining XP vs. need for impact players allows me to spend. Otherwise, I scout conservatively and hope that I get a decent haul of good young talent that doesn't develop at the rate of Mark Sanchez. Ugh...

Quite frankly, I feel like you should ONLY be able to unlock letter grades.
