We got off to a nice start so far this season behind the outstanding pitching. We're currently sitting atop the NL East with a 35-28 record, 4.5 games clear of the 2nd place Marlins. Here's some high points of the season so far.

    • We're currently first in the majors in runs against, starters ERA, and bullpen ERA.
    • Danny Wood is off to a hot start in his first full season in the big leagues hitting .296 with 10 HR 35 RBI and 7 SB.
    • Andrelton Simmons is hitting the ball a ton better than his rookie year, with a .318 avg and .360 OBP compared to .238 and .290 from last year.
    • Julio Teheran has just been filthy all year. He's currently on pace for 293 K's and has an ERA of 2.05 through 92.1 IP.
    • Early season FA signing Coco Crisp provided us the spark we needed at the top of the lineup, hitting .307 with a .346 OBP before his recent stint on the DL. If we can keep him healthy we will be much more dangerous offensively.

    Notes from September 1:
    • Teheran got knocked around a little bit the last sim, but still carries a 2.19 ERA with 211 Ks and a 1.01 WHIP through 181 IP.
    • Carlos Perez got the call-up a month ago, and got his first start this sim. He's pitched well since the call-up with a 2.15 ERA in 2 starts and 1 relief appearance.
    • We're moving to a 6 man rotation during this next sim to help get our starters some rest. Perez will be the #5 starter and Travis Wood will be the #6.
    • Adam Milligan finally got his call-up a month ago after PAgamer07 called us out for keeping him in the minors, and its paid off. Milligan is hitting .307 with 7 HR in his first 143 AB.
    • Danny Wood has continued his MVP caliber season, and now officially has 26 HR and 20 SB to go along with a .294/.324/.540 slash.

Haha. Good stuff. I tend to overlook ratings sometimes. Milligan had awesome stats for awhile in AAA. Was hoping he would do well for you when called up. You never know... he may get a ratings boost if he performs well enough.

Yeah he'd been crushing the ball in AAA, but there just wasn't room in the outfield at first. After Willits cleared waivers and went down to AAA, and Crisp got hurt it gave him a chance. He's solid defensively too.
