Short list this season, with only 2 candidates up for consideration. Like last year, please vote 'yes' or 'no' for each player. A player must get 75% yes votes to gain admittance to the HOF.

    Players for consideration to follow.

    Career Stats:
    777 carries
    4,633 yards
    56 TD

    61 catches
    878 yards
    4 TD

Finished top 3 in Heisman race in 2011 and 2013. 2nd team AA 2011-2013.

    Won BCS title in 2011.

Holds USC record for rushing TD's in a career.

Team record: 38-4 (38-1 when I controlled the team).

User game stats (missing some due to DW issues):
    Season 1
    vs Michigan (35-14 W) - 20 carries for 164 yards, 2 TD
    vs UCLA (35-0 W) - 23 carries for 76 yards, 1 TD
    vs Stanford (35-7 W) - 25 carries for 214 yards, 2 TD
    vs Penn St (21-7 W) - 20 carries for 98 yards, 2 TD

    Season 2
    vs Penn St (20-17 W) - 21 carries for 152 yards, 1 TD
    vs Cal (31-10 W) - 11 carries for 117 yards, 1 TD
    vs Stanford (31-7 W) - 11 carries for 44 yards

    Season 3
    vs Michigan St (31-7 W) - 34 carries for 223 yards, 2 TD
    vs Washington St (28-0 W) - 23 carries for 142 yards, 2 TD
    vs Arizona (34-6 W) - 17 carries for 82 yards, 2 TD
    vs UCLA (42-7 W) - 26 carries for 101 yards, 1 TD
    vs Stanford (27-6 W) - 23 carries for 113 yards , 3 TD

User game average - 21 carries for 127 yards (6.1 average), 2 TD

The case for Dillon Baxter - I think his user game performances speak for themselves, especially considering that his stats in CPU games are very close to what he did against user teams (roughly the same YPC and yards per game in both CPU and user games), so unlike some backs he wasn't getting his stats padded vs CPU teams. Plus, if you look at the scores of the user games, he was having to run into defenses in the 2nd half of most games that knew I was running on nearly every play, and he was still able to churn out first downs.

Wondering that myself to be honest , stats more impressive over all. Season 1 Michigan held him to 90 yards I think but last yeaSr he had TD and maybe 100yrds on me both times

I think whygodwhy1111 would agree if he had stats from his season 1 and 2 user games the stats would look less impressive for Redd. I know that Redd did pretty much nothing vs me is the 2 games we played in those seasons and my recollection is that before season 3 Redd was under 100 yards more often than not in user games.

Of course, only one of us actually put out stats from 3 seasons of user games for reference....;)

baxter was better in user games. I can hang all 3 of my losses poor rushing days by redd. I don't have the stats but he did not do well and the run was abandoned early.

Everything pre file implosion is lost. Anything since then is there on the DW.

I thought maybe you could use the score threads, but it doesn't look like you posted any of Redd's stats in your user game write-ups for season 1, just the CPU games. Doesn't really matter to me, I think he should be in (you know - since I voted for him).

I'm confused why Danthraxxx feels like the stats are that much more impressive, I think they are pretty similar, especially when you consider that Baxter didn't start until week 4 or 5 of season 1 for me (Marc Tyler started the first several weeks).

Dru50 .... 14 more TD on 44 less carries , plus he had to play tougher in confrence compition IMO , as where Baxter is on easily best user controlled team in PAC12

You are just mad that I won't let kickers/punters in. I get it.

And quite frankly the 'USC is too good' is really old. PSU was the highest rated team in the Big 10 behind Michigan, and compared to the teams in your division it wasn't really that close. If we are going to constantly bring that up I'll just quit spending the time doing these awards, cause it's really a BS point, but I'll humor it...

Let's see - in two games vs PSU Baxter had 250 yards and 3 TD's while I know for a fact that Redd in those two games was a non-factor and I don't believe had 75 yards in either game. And that's with PSU being rated an A in year one and an A+ in year two while my team was a B+ OVR in each season.

My team is not the highest rated team in the Pac-12, and hasn't been in any season. Stanford was, on both sides of the ball. That didn't keep Baxter from having 200+ yards in the Pac-12 championship game in year one.

Against the 'superior' competion from the Big 10, Baxter was actually better than he was vs the Pac-12 teams, averaging 160 yards and 2 TD's on 6.7 ypc.

So put that in your pipe and smoke it....
