So much for the Mark Myers Heisman Campaign. One week after setting Pitt's single game passing record, Myers threw 3 first quarter interceptions in front of a soggy crowd at Heinz field. Trailing 16-0 midway through the first quarter, Senior Anthony Gonzalez came off the bench to lead the Panthers to victory. Gonzalez was sharp, throwing for over 300 yards and three total touchdowns. Pitt's star receiver this afternoon was Travis Carpenter who has 181 yards and a score. Coach BigKing is now shifting his focus onto the conference schedule and defending Pitt's Big East Championship. When asked about who his starter would be next week, he was quoted "Myers is my guy. He is our starter, until I pull him."

BC jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter, leading the Tigers 14 - 0 and went in at half-time up 28 - 21. This was a big score for the top ranked Tigers from Clemson, but a steady offense and bend but don't completely break D was enough to beat the Eagles from Boston.

Clemson was 23-50 on passing for the day with 470 yards, 4 TD and 3 INT. Rushing, the Tigers went 25 - 132 yards and 3 TD. Turnovers ruled the day on both sides of the ball. Clemson had 3 INT and 1 fumble while BC had 2 fumbles and 2 INT's.

Clemson absolutely cashed in their lucky chip on this one. Gotta be more careful here on out!!
