UCLA snaps a 3-game losing streak against Cal and played their most complete game so far under new coach jtthirtyfour by pulling out a 35-30 win at the Rose Bowl. The Bruins may have finally found their QB of the future in RS Freshman Bryan Bower as he passed for 357 yards and overcame an early interception and a 14-0 deficit to lead the Bruins back to a 0.500 record with 4 games remaining.

Bower passed for 357 yards and a TD but it was the hard running of Jordan James (71 yards, 2 TDs) and a 64-yard punt return for a touchdown by Anthony Jefferson that sparked the UCLA victory.

After suffering a loss to an FCS team early on in the season and going through a horrendous 3-game losing streak against Oregon, Washington, and Arizona, the Bruins can salvage the season by earning a bowl berth with wins over Stanford (2-5) and Washington State (1-6). If not, they will need an upset victory over #11 USC or #9 Notre Dame to finish the year with 6 wins.

edit...whoops..title thread should be week 10, not 8. not sure if i can change that.
