    2015 - Miami Hurricanes

    Miami 41
    Michigan 27

A big second quarter propelled Miami to this victory. In that quarter Miami's offense put up 27 points, thanks mostly in part due to the run game. Led by second year back Andrew Ellis, Miami had 269 yards rushing. Ellis accounted for 179 yards and he also scored 2 touchdowns. His big play came midway through the second quarter when he busted a 76 yard run on the Wolverines' defense. Quarterback Patrick Austin also scored 2 rushing touchdowns in this game and he threw for a touchdown as well. He didn't rack up a ton of yards, 176 yards, but he also avoided turning the ball over. Interceptions hurt the Michigan team as starter Carpenter threw 3 picks in this game. These turnovers took away from a good game from Michigan HB Ward, who ran for 160 yards on just 16 carries. Early in the 3rd quarter he busted a 68 yard run for a touchdown that cut the Miami lead to 2 scores.
